Just right for me
I consider myself a beginning to intermediate NY Times crossword fan. I've bought other NY Times book and have been frustrated by the fact that what Will Shortz considers "easy" I consider difficult or impossible. Not so with this book. I'm finding that the puzzles, while challenging, are all "doable".

Not easy, Only about 20 Monday crosswords out of 200
I got this book because it said light and easy, which is not true. I love the NYT crosswords because they are so much more interesting than other crosswords but this book was deceptive. The series 1 - 9 books of 50 are truly light and easy, these are mostly NOT. About 20 were easy, 10 were passable, which leaves 170 very very unsatisfying.

these were supposed to be easy although i should have considered the origin. yipes! not "light" or "easy" by a long shot

Probably for most people this would be easy. For myself it is a little difficult to solve. I am bound and determined to finish it - but do have to admit to cheating on most puzzles. Hopefully when I get further into the book I will be more able to solve these crosswoors.
