Melissa Sovey has written gift books, short stories, and an award-winning coffee table book. She and her husband live in the north woods of Wisconsin where they enjoy year-round outdoor sports and the tranquility of nature. Melissa has lived in Chicago and Detroit... but her heart has always been in the country. (Even if there aren't any Starbucks. Or Whole Foods. Or trendy little shoe stores; which is fine because all you really need in the north woods are a pair of rubber boots, some furry mukluks and a cheap pair of flip flops for the six or so weeks you get to wear them).

This is a very cute book! The photos of yorkies are adorable and the concept is pretty funny. Each photo is accompanied by the diary entry of the dog. Some are cheeky, some are sweet, some are teenagers and some are love-torn females infatuated with the neighbor dog! Of course they're not real diaries...but they match the photographs perfectly and do a good job of summarizing the Yorkie personality! This author has done a few breed specific little gift books and they are "spot-on" in both text and photos. Just noticed there is a new German Shepherd book coming out - perfect for my dad!

If you have ever owned a Yorkie, or even know a Yorkie (or someone that does) you must get this book. It is an adorable account of the day to day life of different Yorkies. The pictures (one with every diary entry) are adorable and the writing definately fits their personalities! Yorkies have such a lovable personality and this book brings it out on every page!

To the person that gave this book to her Mother and when she asked her if she had read it she gave it back and told her she could take this one back; well what a rude Mother. This book is adorable and sweet as it could be. Worth the price just for the pictures alone.
