Seen it? I think not..., May 24, 2009
This is the second blu-ray featured by Amazon by this producer and is simply outstanding for its production values and "burn you soul" images. What makes this better than any currently available production on Yosemite NP is good narration, great music in the background (where it belongs), and stellar photography of one of the most stunning places on the planet. Add to this the ability to disable the narration and/or the music, leaving only the HD images and ambient sounds, and you have a perfect Hi-Def "window" on Yosemite I've ever seen.

The Best Video of Yosemite on Blu-ray Disc, May 14, 2009
This is a grander view of Yosemite like you've never seen it before.
Having just watched this, I can truly say that Blu-ray picture quality
just doesn't get any better than this. Almost every scene is a
masterpiece by veteran nature photographer Bob Glusic. Not only are all
of the well-known landmarks of Yosemite featured here, but many back
country areas of exquisite beauty fill this disc. Snow, ice, flowers,
wildlife, walking along trails and river banks abound here - but unlike
other national park videos you've seen, you rarely see people. No
lodges, crowded trails, shops, cars - just the wilderness that gives you
a feeling of solitude and being one with nature. You can choose to
listen to a narrative description and great music, or just ambient
sounds.

Disappointed, November 13, 2009
I ordered this bluray and the BBC Yellowstone together and was greatly disappointed with the Yosemite production. Yosemite is visually stunning but lacks any substantive information about the park and lacks any progression - it's a random collection of shots from the park at different times of the year often showing just an animal, flower, running water, etc. without context to Yosemite. It reminds me of my own vacation videos (except they have very, very good cameras) with some orchestral music and poetic type narrative added. It rarely, if ever, describes the location in the park or the particular feature that it's showing. I've watched the BBC Yellowstone video several times but had trouble getting through this one the first time.
