Jesus. Want a good album? Want a great one? how about an album that leaves you in and out of control, all at the same time? got that, too. If you do not buy this album, you are wasting your life away as we speak.

I owned the original first pressing on black vinyl, and I think I like this one better. The record itself is pressed on Red Vinyl and it's very thick, not a 180 gram pressing but a very high quality record. I'm very impressed with this, and it's gonna be very rare and highly collectable.

My red vinyl copy arrived in great condition and sounds incredible on my modest setup. So much better than the cd version. My "new" favorite record again. To avoid any worry about a slight warp on any record, grab a red-o-dek center weight and enjoy.

Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots is probably tied with Kid A for my favorite album ever. I picked it up on vinyl recently for about $30. I was hoping for that kind of money it would be heavier, something like 180 grams, but, alas, it's not. The vinyl is a translucent orange color, with some basic artwork inside, but nothing special or fancy. There was no mp3 download ticket inside.

It might sound like I'm whining, but it's only because this is the third time I've bought this album (after CD and that 5.1 DVD). The music is absolutely incredible. (Side 2 begins with Ego Tripping, btw.)

If you have to get Yoshimi on vinyl, here it is. But don't expect any type of special treatment.

The Pros: The package came in a timely manner, and was very easy to open, thanks to amazon. Every song on the album is great (which is why I decided to order the vinyl).

The Cons: Unfortunately, the vinyl came very warped. I don't know if it happened during transport or what, but it is warped visually. It is still playable, but the tone arm travels about .5-.75 inches vertically when it plays the warped section. It isn't so bad that the needle jumps, but I can hear a slight slur. For this reason I cannot give this the 5 star rating I'd like to.

'Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots' is certainly one of The Flaming Lips' best albums. It isn't as "hardcore" as some of their other albums regarding the electronic part of the music. The title track, "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots pt. 1," actually has predominant acoustic guitar instrumentation. Many of the songs are upbeat and cheery, and I highly recommend this album if you are not familiar with the band but would like to try them out.

This vinyl edition exhibits the artwork in very good quality, and the actual vinyl is a transparent red color. My only reservation is that the label in the center of the record does not list the songs on each side, but it is fashionable with some bands.

I have loved this album for years (on CD). I recently started collecting Vinyl albums and when I found this on Amazon I wanted it immediately. I ordered from ImportCDs (through amazon) and got it very quickly and in perfect condition, they actually use proper packaging for vinyl albums. I am very satisfied with this purchase, the red color of the album is beautiful, pictures do not capture it at all. If you are a fan of "The Flaming Lips" and of vinyl, then you can't go wrong with this purchase.

This has got to be one of the best vinyls I have in my collection. It heavy 180 grams transparent red vinyl... mind blowing. And with some of the greatest tunes ever... this album is FLAWLESS, and if you're wondering about this vinyl edition, it's a 10. You won't regret buying this.-

This album has such a beautiful continuity to it. It's sonically beautiful and melodic. It's my favourite of theirs.

This is an amazing album that tells a beautiful, and enthralling story from the genius minds of The Flaming Lips. I have listened to it for years and still to this day appreciate every minute of the album. I purchased the vinyl months ago when upgrading my music listening experience to a high quality vinyl system. It is absolute must own for music lovers. Even if you don't like the Lips, this is a must listen to due to its greatness. Enjoy
