This book is like watching a movie that has you so engrossed you don't want it to end. If that sounds cliché, you won't think so after you've had it in your itchy palms, awake late at night, not able to move you're so in awe of what you are reading.

For what it's worth, James Van Praagh had a private session with the author years ago and was genuinely in awe. James wrote the forward for "You are the Answer". In it he talks about how this book reminded him of his own `inkling of purpose'.

This delicately touches what this book is about. The idea is that in quieting our minds with the help of meditative exercises we can create the space for our spiritual seeds to grow into our true divine selves. We pick up charges from many sources: acquaintances, family, thoughts, and perceptions. Because we are energy ourselves we become sponges for all of this making it impossible to decipher what is truly ours and what is .. everything else. From "Validating Spirit", "Resistance to Willingness", "Growing Neutrality", and into "Choosing Truth at Every Crossroads" you'll find chapters that are full of wisdom and intense teachings that allow you to find your voice and accept yourself with compassionate honesty so that you can begin to understand your purpose here in this lifetime.

Michael Tamura's words are revolutionarily loving and add up to some of the FULLEST sentences you've ever read - you cannot read this book once. In fact, the amount of time you go back to reread a paragraph or sentence will amount to your reading this book a dozen times hoping that the words would come alive and put their healing hands upon you. And that's before you read it all over again because you miss it so much.

I recommend this book to all of the people who ever wanted to feel the lightness of divinity in their everyday life. To remind themselves of love so eternal and so huge and so familiar that being without it is what's missing. This book was like going to the doctor for me. The Soul Doctor.

Michael Tamura is clearly a very gifted psychic and an extremely spiritual individual. As a writer, he has a very straight-forward, down-to-earth style of writing that makes reading his work a pleasure. His purpose in this book is to help those of us on the spiritual path... whatever that may be... to look inside ourselves, rather than outward, for the answers that we seek. The emphasis is that we are always connected to our spiritual/higher self, and he offers practical ways to ask the right questions in order to discover our soul's purpose here. You Are The Answer is NOT a "how to develop you psychic abilities" book, but rather a book for us common-folks seeking to deepen our intuition and spirituality. (This is not to say that this book could not help in that area, as I think that it might.) This book is one I'm planning on reading a second time, just because it is so deep and informative. For those of you who are familiar with The Power of Now and A Course In Miracles, you'll understand what I mean when I say that this is the new "essential read" for becoming a more spiritual person.

After many years of conscious spiritual growth, including BPI clairvoyance development, reading books and studying a wide variety of topics from a myraid of religious and biblical texts, biblical archeology, anthroposophy and rosicrucian texts, spiritual women's wellness to UFO's, sacred geometry and much, much more, if I had to pick only 1 book to keep, this book would be the one I would chose.

I agree with an earlier review that this is the new spiritual "must read" and not a how to be psychic book. Michael has succeeded in communicating the essential truth of going within to find your very own and unique connection to God in such a simplistic way that every part of your being, from physical, emotional, mental and spiritual will get something from it!!

This is truly soul food that helps to answer the big questions about how to find and know God, why you should want to find God, and much, much more. His writing style is filled with amusement and grace, and I enjoy his storytelling and gentle way to get you to look within; so the reading experience is very pleasant.

So the why I would chose to keep this book if I only got to pick one, is simple: Michael has achieved that which I know I personally stirve to, he is a living example of simple, elegant truth...following in the footsteps of a couple of other very well known teachers who walked the planet a couple of millenium or more ago who spread the word of neutrality..that place of being in the world and not of it, by having increased spiritual awareness of who we are. And some days we need a little more reminder than others, so it's wonderful to have a book to pick up and read and change the conditions we find ourselves in.

Here is a book we have all been waiting for. Michael Tamura has given us a gift so profound, and yet so simple, it inspires masters and novices alike. In our search for Spirit, light and meaning we often turn outward - to teachers, healers and disciplines. Traditionally, these methods encourage us to transcend the world, the material and even the body itself in search for truth and the essence of our being.

But in "You Are The Answer", Michael Tamura delightfully validates that we, in fact, already have the answer - the cosmic joke being that we forgot (or never learned) how to simply HAVE it. I have been searchng and reading spiritual material for over a half century and this book has gotten me so excited! It is truly one of a kind, as is Michael Tamura. I have purchased this book for several of my friends and family members as I want them to have the info Michael conveys. It is so important to have this information at this time in our spiritual development on the planet. And Michael is an excellent writer. There are many instances where his prose is extremely poetic in its simple beauty. I highly recommend this book. You will read it over and over and over and over.

I've read almost all books on spirituality, self help, discovering self etc. over the past few decades and this book goes with a handful of books that are really memorable. I almost feel like hopping on a plane from Australia to Mt Shasta to meet the author. His words are down to earth and hit the proverbial nail on the head. I especially love the many exercises to do at the back of the book. Not that I'm short of exercises to do, I ran meditation, self development and self empowerment classes for seven years and I'm sure I learnt more by teaching than being a student. However, even after all those classes I ran I still found Michael Tamura's writings extremely valuable. This book is designed to bring positive shifts to its readers and that's why I consider it amongst the most valuable books of our time. Namaste.

I read this book from cover to cover and had so many highlighted parts with sticky tabs everywhere. I really enjoyed Michael's easy-to-understand concepts about discovering and fulfilling my soul's purpose. I also randomly pick a page every morning to read to start my day on a good note. In addition to Michael's wonderful teachings, you also get lots of exercises to develop your spiritual growth.
