I was raised a Baptist and have actively pursued spiritual knowledge since the age of 10 through a variety of avenues. I was taught from that age that God resides in the center of my heart and that all life, animate and inanimate is sacred, part of God.
I am considered a mystic, to say the least, by all who know me. It is after my 30 year spiritual quest that I found this book, while perusing Amazon. I bought it because I thought that the title was funny and that it would be good for me not to take myself to seriously. On intuition, I bought it without reading the reviews. Little did I know what was in store for me.
When I got this small tome and read the first page I cried for 3 hours. It took me 3 days to get through the first 3 pages. The immensity of self-recognition was stunning to me. When I finished reading this book I couldn't understand why I was being so blessed. Why was someone writing this for me?
I told everyone who I thought would listen about Story. I carried this book around with me to urge people just to read the poem that opens the book and look at the picture of Story and see the depth of love in his eyes. I was teaching a class on spirituality at a drug rehabilitation program at Bellevue Hospital in NYC with some clients and an attending rabbi and a Protestant minister. They were all dumbstruck by what I had to say about my learning experience with this book, which continues to this day.
I do not think it is arrogance to say "You are God". God does not mind. You are the microcosm to the macrocosm. You have all the power and qualities that God Is. You are the focal point of All That Is. Just like the star or the ant. There really is no difference.
To me the point is to remember. By remembering your inherent power you benefit all of Creation, if that is your intention to do so. You are the beginning of eternal peace on Earth.
Jesus the Christ said you would do greater miracles than He. This book by Story Waters heralds a Platinum Age of Spirit. It's impact on Humanity by the Gods who have read this book has already changed the course of the hearts and minds of all life throughout Creation now. The act is done.
Do yourself a favor. Read this book. Create consciously.
Thank you for reading my review.
Thank you Story Waters.

There are many books and courses available teaching you how to become this or that, someone better ... but how many books do you find that speak directly to your sense of 'knowing' - that you already are all that that you wish to become? This book does that. It helped me to connect to my life story, to embrace it and listen to it, rather than to run from it and reject it. With this came clarity, a sense of purpose and the beginning of acceptance and peace ... If you are truly ready to listen, this book will speak to you through your heart. Namaste.

Have no idea why, other than the title, that I chose this book. Once I started reading, I knew. If you are ready to take full responsibility for your life, this is the book for you. If you need encouragement to live your life fully, this book is for you. If you would like some of your knowing and feeling put before you in words, this is for you. If you already know this, it never hurts to be reminded. It is not blasphemy to claim what the prophets have all prophesied. A personal experience for Story and also for me.

This book is amazing! The material is rich with appreciation and love for all of us. It touched my mind, my heart, and affirmed what I already felt in my soul. It brought so much peace back into me. In fact, I have read it several times, each time I've made even more connections. I am more aware of myself and how I'm creating my world. I have also listened to Story's CD's. I would strongly recommend those as well.

Format: PaperbackVerified Purchase
This book beautifully summarized what I have learned during 40 years of studying the works of metaphysical authors such as J. Krishnamurti, Paramahansa Yogananda, Ernest Holmes, Joel Goldsmith, Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, Byron Katie and Abraham-Hicks.
In 33 short, three page chapters, Story Waters took me through an "Unfolding" that reminded me of watching an exquisitely crafted diamond as it turns in the light. The irreverent title made it all the better.
This is a piece to be read and re-read. The chapters are like meditations and could easily be used as a daily devotional reading, since each is so short.
I knew I was in for something wonderful after reading the introductory poem:
"Freedom is not superior to limitation;
with this realization I am able to choose freedom.
Happiness is not superior to suffering;
with this realization I am able to let go of suffering.
Abundance is not superior to poverty;
with this realization my abundance flows.
Nothing is superior to anything;
with this knowing I step out from
hierarchy, competition, and struggle.
In this state I do not judge life;
therefore I do not feel separate from it......"
I'll leave the rest for you to read once you get the book.

Story's first book of Messiah Seeds was my favorite read this year plus I heard Story's Santa Fe 2005 talk, so I was really looking forward to receiving my copy of 'You Are God. Get Over It!' and I have not been disappointed. Whereas each Messiah Seed is a single page reading, this book contains 'Unfoldings' (referring to the unfolding of your divinity) each of which is three pages long. This makes the book a much deeper read, and as it goes into more depth I found it both more challenging and ultimately more rewarding. That said, I went and re-read the 'Messiah Seed' again straight after I finished this book and discovered many new layers of meaning in it even though I have read it multiple times before. This more than anything is the power of Story's writing as you can just keep reading it again and again and you get more and more each time, plus it always seems to relate to whatever it is that you are dealing with. Everyone I know seems to get something powerful and yet different from it.
What impressed me the most with 'You Are God. Get Over It!' is how cohesive it is. Without trying to convince you of any 'truth', other than following your heart and letting your spirit unfold from within, the book gives a uniquely beautiful way of both viewing and participating in the world. The book shows that it is within you Now to release struggle from your life. The words act like a mirror that reflects to you which aspects of your personal reality you are in allowance of and which you are resisting. The shift in perception (rather than ideas) that this book gives will quite literally change your life. I would say that this book is essential reading for anyone interested in the idea of God within and anyone who wishes to choose/create their own reality consciously.
This is the primary book I would recommend to anyone interested in spirituality who has some foundation in these types of ideas. If you are new to all this then I would recommend reading the Messiah Seed first. Go for it! A new way of seeing the world awaits!

What an amazing pleasure this book is to read. The next great leap in spiritual evolution is to embrace yourself as the creator - the creator of both your joys and sorrows. You Are God! I watched myself unfold to the tune of every chapter in this book. Ultimately liberating - the call of your very own freedom is on every page. Read this book if you want to: 1. find the poetry of yourself, 2. release the fetters of suffering, 3. understand (and experience) non-dualistic thinking, 4. take charge of your experience, here and now. Story pushes the envelope of spirituality by simply returning the power of everything to its rightful source ? you.
From the same author as The Messiah Seed ? this book is both a revisiting and expansion of some of Mr. Waters' favorite themes. Whereas The Messiah Seed offers a single page per chapter format, the chapters in this book are longer and the topics are treated in greater depth. A new reader could start with either book, as the two books are highly complementary.

I bought 'You Are God, Get Over It' because I was intrigued by the title. Like the old saying goes 'Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought him back' I am extremely satisfied with the content of this book. I shed many tears as I read it because it resonated with my heart. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is searching for the real answer. Since reading this book it is amazing how the universe has picked up speed :)

Story Waters writes like an ascended master. In this book, you will come to know your essence, your Divinity, and how the choices you make are a direct reflection of the Divinity you hold within.
Here Story writes: "To live in limitlessness is to feel the strength to take total responsibility for the state of your life, for it is to know that you are the creator of your life. It is to experience, through the clarity of love for your being, that you are God."
I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who wishes to awaken to their grandest self, and to live a life filled with purity and inner peace. It is a beautiful read, and one that I have found to be a tremendous benefit, not only for me, but ultimately for all who read it. Deserves 10 stars!

This is such an amazing book. Everyone should read it! I found it much more of a challenge to read than The Messiah Seed but ultimately that challenge was my breaking through my own resistance to really let in this amazing view of this reality that we all live in. In fact the power of this book is how it can lead you through so much challenging change without you going into fear. I loved the Messiah Seed which now feels like the simplified conclusions of this book. Through this book I now re-read the Messiah Seed and see even deeper into the freedom of this way of living in the world.
'You Are God. Get Over It!' gives all the meat of Story's view of reality and gives the ideas/framework that underlies the Messiah Seed. Story takes you effortlessly through these trains of thought that completely turn around how you see yourself and your life. It is only when you walk away from the book that you realize how this changes the choices you make in life and you find that you have made this radical shift in perception and the way you want to live.
This is a book that you will really have to sit with and absorb. For every bit of your focus that you give it you will be richly rewarded. Buy it for yourself, and then you'll be buying it for your friends - and THAT is the mark of a truly incredible book!
