A lot of funny ones, too!
Marilyn
It directs our attention to what feels good about life, what we CAN do, which feels a lot better than constantly berating ourselves for what we can't or didn't.
Beansky
This book instantly brightens my day.

I bought this as a gift to one of my friends in college for her birthday. She always goes on about how she's not good at anything. She was almost in tears when I gave this to her, it was so cute, and the content is great. It is very diverse, and contains something for everyone! A lot of funny ones, too!

This is a great book for coffee table or "bathroom reader". Some of our kids have also used this book for a source for their status updates of facebook. :-)

At one sitting or in bits while reading two others, this book is just fun. Mr. Selsberg's words are warm and friendly while still razor-sharp. Extremely well done.

This book is a huge compendium of individual doses of self-esteem for anyone, regardless of talent or lack thereof. Perfect to read when you're feeling insecure and need a boost of self-confidence, or just have a few minutes and want something uplifting to occupy your mind with. Plus, its imaginative list of "talents" is very entertaining too.

Even though I keep this next to my bed, I only look at every once in a while. But every time I do, provides a good laugh and brings me back to a positive place! Great reminder of how we should value the simple things, in each other and ourselves.

I got this book for my best friend for her 16th birthday, and I think she will love it! I can't wait to have her open it and read all the cool and funny things that are written in it. Really worth the buy. Great price, extremely fast shipping!

Generally we don't give ourselves enough credit for the things we do. Although this is somewhat of an exaggeration in the other direction, it works. Why not acknowledge ourselves more? It directs our attention to what feels good about life, what we CAN do, which feels a lot better than constantly berating ourselves for what we can't or didn't. Thanks for writing it Andy Selsberg.

"You Are Good at Things: A Checklist" is a clever book that lists a series of mostly useless things at which the reader may excel. You may not be smart, but maybe you're good at noticing new haircuts. Maybe you're a terrible writer, but you can sense how many sheets a stapler can handle. Yes, the 'things' are often silly and sometimes even negative ('dwelling on slights' or 'generating clutter'), but there's a bit of insight here and there. I did somewhat ridiculously find a bit in pride in being able to check off that I'm good at assembling slideshows and not hitting 'reply all' by accident. I also chuckled frequently. Although some of the items are serious, clearly this book is not to be taken too seriously.

Note: This review is for the Kindle version. The book is perfect for Kindle, as you can highlight items and add notes. For example, I highlighted a few items at which I would like to improve and then added a note. The transfer to Kindle is good, although there is one fairly major problem in the Table of Contents. Each chapter title contains a link, except for "You are good at attending wedding things."
