I fell in love with this book at first sight. I'm giving it to my daughter when she graduates from art school next month. I know she will love it as well (even at the ripe old age of 22!)

This is such an adorable board book! We are a homeschooling family, and I am always looking for books and products that will be useful in my children's education. There just isn't a lot of art appreciation material for the toddler and preschool ages. I really had not considered touching on it until first or second grade because that is who most of the material I've seen is targeted for. I came across this little gem on one of our library escapades. My two year old loved it right away because of the lift a flaps that reveal the art pieces such as The Mona Lisa and Starry Night. My five year old likes to look at the "real art", as she calls it, while also enjoying the cute illustrations of kids acting out what is seen in the paintings. I love the metaphors the author makes between the art in the book and the love she has for her child. For example: "You are my Starry Night, My twinkling light above. Through setting suns and rising moons, You are a galaxy of love." I would recommend this book to any parent or grandparent who is looking for a great book to introduce classic works of art. It will be a repeat reader.

I have loved art since my Humanities class in high school. My mom saw this book at a book show and bought it for my 10 month old daughter for Christmas. I have read it to her several times and read it myself a few times as well. Each passage is so touching as it relates art to the life of a child and how a loving parent views that child. This book is wonderful the art lover and parent alike. Sue DiCicco has found a wonderful way to introduce art to a young generation. The passages are so touching that I honestly get choked up as I read them to my beautiful little girl.

I have purchased this book once before as a gift for a friend expecting a baby. She loved it so much that I decided to get it again for another friend also expecting. Its a great, fun and also educational book. The drawings are adorable and provide great information on the real artwork pieces. Its also a great book because it is a thick cardboard style book, very durable especially for rough little ones. Overall very awesome book and a great gift; spreading the love of the arts :)

I love this book. When I found it for a low price I jumped on it. When it arrived I could tell it was definitely used. It was sold as a new book. It was not new. Being a board book it wasn't in too bad of shape, but it had flaps to open that were almost worn out from opening. I was disappointed with the condition of the book.It cost less than what it would cost me to send it back. It is a cute book and sometime I will buy a new copy and donate this one.

I bought this book for two three year olds and loved it so much I've purchased 3 more. The selections of artwork are mostly familiar and the illustrations are endearing. This is a great introduction to classic art pieces that the child will be able to identify with for life. It's sturdy and appropriate for 3yrs - 7yrs.

I found this book in our art museum and had to buy it on the spot. I love the paintings and the rhymes. I have made it a point to gift this as a 1st birthday present to all our friends with children. They love it too!! It has such a sweet message for a child and reading it makes for perfect bonding time.
