It's a big world with lots of praise and worship CD's out there, including quite a few Hillsongs albums. I don't normally buy the non-SHOUT TO THE LORD CD's that they put out. There will be some good songs on them, but also some that I just don't care for (unlike the SHOUT TO THE LORD duo, which are essentially "greatest hits" services). Well, YOU ARE MY WORLD just turned that rule of mine upside down. In spite of not having any old (reliable) favorites, it is the best album that Hillsongs has ever put out.

Musically it continues the slow evolution that past projects show, as it has more of a modern edge on tracks like "God Is Great." For the most part, however it stays in the familiar musical vein that Zschech usually travels in. All of the big, sweeping, powerful arrangements are here and sound super. Most of the songs fall more in the power-ballad-to-mid-tempo range, with some nice exceptions like the driving "Everything That Has Breath." The songs are all quite melodic in the best sense of the word. It should be noted that Zschech hands over the lead worshiper reigns quite a few times here, to excellent results.

What makes YOU ARE MY WORLD stand out so much, though, is the superior writing. Lyrically the album has no misses, with choruses that are utterly worshipful, instantly catchy and memorable. These writers know how to pen songs that can immediately take you into the presence of God as well as stick around in your head for hours afterwards. The majority of these songs should easily become church standards in the coming year.

If you're a fan of past Hillsongs albums you'll adore this one even more. If you've never listened before, here's your chance. And if your taste is more towards edgy, modern worship you still might give this one a shot. This is worship loaded with passion, energy, excellence, and beauty. I can't wait to hear more. FIVE STARS.

Wow, wow, and wow...

The music ministry of Darlene Zschech and Hillsong Music Australia has blessed me for many years. Since hearing "Shout to the Lord" back in 1993, I have been continually intrigued by the anointing present upon their worship. I currently own every praise and worship recording released out of their ministry; I started with purchasing TOUCHING HEAVEN, CHANGING EARTH(which at the time was my favorite cd), then went on to purchase BY YOUR SIDE(low and behold, IT became my favorite), and of course, eveloped myself in the passionate expressions of worship on FOR THIS CAUSE, which inevitable became my favorite as well.

A pattern was beginning to form: each album was subsequently better than it's predecessor. The sound would evolve, the musicians would revolve, and the presence of God would emerge more stronger.

I didn't think it could get much better, but you know God. We cannot limit His awesome power! He definitely proved me wrong, for after listening to this album, I become convinced that I had entered into the very Throne room of God. The praise- prophetic. The worship- sacred and intimate. Friends, I not only urge you to purchase this cd, I commission you to purchase it. I will even dare to say that this is the most anointed praise and worship recording I've ever listened to.

The theme invokes a personal image of God. He wants a relationship with us- a relationship where He is that which our world revolves around. He is the center, and when He is exalted to the place, He will commune with us. That is the theme of this inspired recording and each song expresses the deepness and awe-inspiring, irresistible power of His love.

Darlene is a mighty minister of God and the anointing present on her life is revealed through her powerful expressions of worship. I am convinved that her anthem, "Worthy is the Lamb" will become this generation's classic worship chorus. Why is the song so special? The lyricinvokes the image of Christ's death on the cross so powerfully, and with that image, allows the listener to worship Him in a very personal manner. The lyrics say "thank You for the cross Lord, thank You for the price You paid...baring all MY sin and shame". And the chorus: truly the song of the angels: "worthy is the Lamb, seated on the Throne- crown you now with many crown, You reign victorious!".

Also, Darlene penned two other extremely moving worship anthems: "Irresistible", beautifully capturing the indescribable love of God and "To You", a worship anthem proclaiming that we are not our own, we belong to Him- and we will make that known through all the earth..."In Your name, I will lift my hands, to the King, this anthem of praise I bring". What an awesome declaration!

Little known writer, Raymond Badham penned the penultimate Christmas worship song for this album, "Emmanuel". Definitely not limited strictly to Christmas time, this song speaks very boldly that the He, the ever-living God, the prince of peace, the mighty one, lives and dwells amongst us! This song has blessed me in a mighty way, by helping me grasp my identity in Christ. The ever-living God, the creater of heaven and earth, lives within me!

"God So Loved" and "Forever" are two other extremely beautiful worship anthems, with extremely simple messages. "God So Loved" is awesome for it does not simply stop at "God so loved the world that He gave His only son". It goes on to proclaim, "He is risen from the dead- He's high and lifted up". "Forever" is just a simple statement of worship saying "I'll worship You my God- I love you...forever I will sing, forever I will be with You". Hey, that song is choir practice for heaven, for that's what we're gonna be doing...forever!!!

The praise songs, though few, tower above any other praise songs I've heard before. "Your Love is Beautiful" is an awesome song proclaiming the praises of the King around the world, making His beautiful love known to all men; "God is Great"- at first I was like, "ok, did they run out of good titles", but honestly, this has become one of my favorite praise songs- mainly because of it's simple statement...God is great, sing His praise, all the earth...all the heavens! "Everything That Has Breath" is an awesome praise song too, actually, it is my favorite praise song of all time...from the rising of the sun, let His praise be heard! What bold lyrics! And of course, there is the classic headbanger(haha), "Best Friend". This song, in a really rockin' fashion, allows us to realize He is not only our God, and our Savior, but He is our best friend. The one called Savior, the risen One, the One in heaven- He is our best friend and wants to love on us!

And of course, there is the bound to become classic title track, "You Are My World", which I absolutely love. It says it all- the title says it all! Such a beautiful expression of worship.

Ok, so here's what you do now: get our your credit card/bank card and order this album! You will thank me, I promise! You WILL be blessed, I gurantee it 100%.

Great mix of fast and slow worship songs that inspire great worship times. As always, Hillsong live worship never gets boring. "Your Love is Beautiful" rocks! This project is well worth the money.

I have loved Hillsongs worship cds from "Shout to the Lord", and I have to say this is their best so far. Every song on here is a good one, but "God is Great" really kicks it off strong and rocking after "Your Love is Beautiful" starts the cd out. By far, the best song on here is "My Best Friend". Crank that song up and just TRY to stay still! This is one that you'll be playing over and over again. You want this cd! Highly recommended!

Here is another release from Hillsong featuring Darlene Zschech, Reuben Morgan, Russell Fragar and every one else in the Hillsong team.This CD has 13 songs and is another favorite of mine as it was on of the first i heard.I saw Darlene Zschech at the Telstra Dome Melbourne earlier this year,and some of the Hillsong team and they got the crowd singing in worhip to the lord.

"You Are My World" is Hillsong's best album to date. The theme of the album is much more intimate and worshipful than many previous Hillsong works, with the majority of the tracks focusing on the relationship between God and his children. Highlights include the catchy praise tunes "Your Love is Beautiful", "God is Great", and "Everything That Has Breath", as well as the worshipful "Worthy is the Lamb" and "You Are My World". "Forever" and "My Best Friend" from United Live's "Best Friend" album are included as well. The best track by far is "Irresistible", a beautiful song of worship that could be considered one of Darlene Zschech's best. Joining Darlene is a diverse assembly of talented artists, including Reuben Morgan and Marty Sampson, two of the leaders of the "next generation" Hillsong musicians. A powerful and anointed album, "You Are My World" will not disappoint.

Hey, these guys rock...Buy this CD and I promise you will be blessed by it!! I love all of Hillsongs' music. In fact, you should buy all of their CDs, because they definitely have the anointing of God on them and their worship music, and the music will just lift you up. I promise! Don't miss out :)

I bought my copy from Australia 3 months ago ... I also purchased a second CD; and also tapes to give to friends ... Yes; it is that good.
I know how dry church can be at times. Worship sometimes seems contrived. It isn't contrived on this CD. You will find yourself before the throne of THE HOLY GOD! And after 9/11/01, we all need to be near HIM more. God Bless ALL of you at HILLSONGS for blessing us with your music. Our GOD knew ... we would need this CD to comfort our souls at this time. Thank you Jesus!

Hi. What can I say - Hillsong Music Australia has done it again. This album is, and this is just my own opinion, the best Christian album of all time, and since I don't like any music but Christian music, that makes this the best album of all time!!! Why? I'll go through the list of songs and tell you a little of what I think of them. First of all, I'd like to say that each song is beautifully performed, and have AWESOME lyrics.
1: Your Love Is Beautiful. This song is also awesome, especially the percussion/drum (or whatever they are) segment. I love this song.
2: God Is Great. Well, He is, isn't He? Hearing the roar of the crowd during this song is awesome. This fast-paced song will linger in your head for a long time.
3: All Of My Days. This song is one of my favorites. "All of my Days I will sing of Your greatness... sing of Your grace... i will tell of Your WONDROUS LOVE...!!!"
4: Emmanuel. I read everywhere online that this is the perfect Christmas song, but it was meant to be sung any time - not just during the holidays. Such a beautiful song.
5: You Stand Alone. I'm listening to this song as I type. This song is one of THE BEST worship songs EVER!!! The lyrics declare that HE stands alone - above all else. "I will lay me down at Your feet in worship, and listen to the sweetest sound of all,"
6: Irresistible. One of my favorite songs on the album. He truly is Irresistible. Darlene performs this song so beautifully. I'm in the process of reading her book, Extravagant Worship, and she writes that no matter how hard she tries to write a song telling about how much she loves Him, the song never comes close to displaying how much she really does love Him. Well, thank you for this song, Darlene.. I sing it to Him every day.
7: You Are My World. It may be hard for you to declare that He is your world, but MAKE HIM YOUR WORLD so you can sing this song without feeling guilty. Give Him COMPLETE CONTROL of your life. Beautiflly performed, this song really does stand out.
8: Everything That Has Breath. If you've heard many different songs with that title, you're not alone. But this one is the best of them all! This fast-paced song is based on that famous Scripture, Psalm 150:6, and it's just beautiful.
9: God So Loved. Another song based on a famous Scripture (this time it's John 3:16), this song is so simple, yet so powerful. It starts telling how He loved us so much, he sent His only Son for us, then to goes on to say "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain..." Wonderfully performed by the team.
10: To You. Another powerful song, beautifully performed, with awesome lyrics. "I belong to You, all I need - Your Spirit, Your Word, Your truth..."
11: WORTHY IS THE LAMB!!! I LOVE THIS SONG!!! Beautiful lyrics - performed excellently. THE BEST song of ALL TIME!!!
12: Forever. This song, and the next, came from the United Live: Best Friend album, also by Hillsong, but I think they're performed better on You Are My World. It starts out softly, but then it gets louder and louder - better and better! I love this song SO much!
13: My Best Friend. This song is definitely one of my favorites. He should be your best friend today, and if He's not, make the best decision of your life - Make Him your best friend! This song is really fast and loud - be prepared. Also, be prepared for the Holy Spirit to move through the room.
You're going to be listening to this CD for a long time, over and over, so stock up on potato chips, or tissues. I recommend tissues, and also lots of water for when your throat gets dry as a desert from singing softly in songs like Irresistible, to YELLING in songs like My Best Friend.
