I have to say this is a book I would have never picked up myself; it came to me through a friend. The title does not attract me at all, I don't want to be Oprah, and I do not have children so I wasn't attracted to Howard's work through that route. However, igniting my greatness, that appeals to me. I have read a lot of books during the past several years about self acceptance, self worth, self love, compassion, oneness, the spiritual journey and I was surprised at how Howard seemed to bring all of these concepts together in this one book. Not only the concepts but a way to use them, experience them, and through experiencing into feeling and owning.

When my friend gave me the book I was surprised as I began to read because of the general feel of the book, not written from a specific religious view but more from a simple spiritual one, gathering information and ideas from many view points - more accepting, open minded and encouraging.

Howard talks about intention and allowing, and I love his heart exercises. They put you in touch with you, your wisdom, that inner intelligence. It's profound. Chapter 12 is my favorite at the moment.

Howard still relates to his experiences with children, since this is his first book geared towards adults, but it is wonderful that he could vision these processes to be used in a way which benefits all of us. Those on the path of self discovery, acceptance and the desire to own their greatness and improve their relationships will benefit from this book and the exercises.

Once again Howard Glasser has blessed us with another gift of his divine wisdom. "You are Oprah" is among the most inspiring books I have read to date. Millions of lives will be changed through the journey of reading this book. With his unique style, Glasser unfolds his stories with humor, insight, and clarity that is purely magic! He teaches us how to embrace our fears and mistakes and reset to yet another version of our greatness in a way that is life changing. Thank you Howard and Melissa for writing such an GREAT book! I have read this book cover-to-cover twice, and continue to pick it up and read a few chapters at a time to "energize" myself into continuing greatness. I fully appreciate the fact that living in greatness is a journey and not a destination. Your personal journey into greatness using the Nurtured Heart Approach as your foundation is an inspiration to us all. Your book reinforces and teaches us that we all have a choice to acknowledge greatness in ourselves and in others. I choose to live in a world of "greatness", and welcome whatever the universe brings forth!

As an Early Childhood Instructor using the Nurtured Heart Approach in my classroom, I appreciate and acknowledge the abundance of greatness every child possesses. And now, through 'You Are Oprah', I am acknowledging the greatness in myself...and because of this, I AM ON FIRE! I'm on fire (and I love it) thanks to this brilliant book by Howard Glasser. In You Are Oprah, Howard reminds us that greatness begins within and is merely a "reset" away. In fact, infinite greatness is fully in bloom inside us all RIGHT NOW, even in the most difficult situations. Reading this book and applying its principles and techniques has given me the courage to finally unleash my own greatness as a helping professional. It has empowered me to move to the next level in my life and I can't thank Howard (and Melissa) enough for making this information available to the world.
