You Are Psychic: The Art of Clairvoyant Reading & Healing

I've been doing professional readings for clients both in person and over my personal home phone line since the late 1980's, usually using some type of intuitive tool like Tarot cards, playing cards, pendulums, taseomancy, etc. I would often get flashes of clairvoyance that would supplement whatever tool I was using, which to me was an extra "treat".

Then I came across books written by students from the late Lewis Bostwick that encouraged learning and giving clairvoyant readings by using a symbol (often a rose) to represent the person you were reading. The Bostwick methods also encouraged taking care of your own energy and aura using the symbols of roses, grounding cords and other visualized items.

This system freed me from having to always rely on physical tools by using the inner tools of the mind. Instead of just looking forward to the occasional accurate clairvoyant "flash" the books written by Bostwick's students teach readers how to harness one's clairvoyance. On a practical level, I could give quick and easy clairvoyant readings for people when hired for parties by using Bostwick's Berkeley Institute's methods. It's quick, easy and you don't need a table to put stuff on.

However, I was not satisfied completely with this system, perhaps either due to my own limitations, or the lack of information in the books I read to answer some questions, or a combination of both. So, I went back to using cards, runes and other physical tools to answer other questions for my clients if I felt the rose symbolism wouldn't help.

That all changed with Debra Katz' book.

Ms. Katz also comes from the Lewis Bostwick method & so many of the visualizations were quite familiar to me. But her book helped "stretch" my learning and took me further by teaching me how to address other ways of reading people by still using the rose-symbol methods. Even before finishing the whole book, I gave a darn good clairvoyant reading to a client that lasted an hour -- all done with my eyes closed and without having to rely on physical tools.

Ms. Katz includes other chapters that discuss topics on setting up oneself as a professional psychic, charging clients, learning how to read for couples (and when NOT to), and various healing techniques that also includes sending healings to cancer patients -- her method on this seems much more streamlined and efficient than what I was trying to do with cancer patients in my 20's.

There is nothing wrong with using physical tools in one's psychic work -- I sometimes still enjoy taking them out and some clients enjoy seeing cards or crystal balls on the table. But if you want to start reading strictly through clairvoyance, this book is great for beginners and advanced readers alike. Out of the many good books written by Bostwick's students, in my opinion this one is not only the best but goes the furthest.

I have read a whole bunch of different books for developing psychic ability and while some were very good, this is the best I have encountered so far. I was so impressed with the book I saught the author out for a reading. I received a a phone reading a few days ago, and her information was accurate and VERY helpful for me, which gives me even more faith in following through with the work outlined in the book.

I really appreciate how she includes exercises for many practical purposes, such as grounding and clearing out negative energy. I especially like the exercise for Calling Back Your Energy. Even though she is a professional psychic, she actually instructs the readers in detail how they can develop their own abilities and read for others. Now, that's generous!

YOU ARE PSYCHIC by Debra Lynn Katz is the only book of its kind which teaches valuable tools for developing clairvoyance, your own psychic ability to see visual information through extrasensory means, a gift which the author firmly believes everyone possesses but few use. Katz has a B.A. in psychology and an M.A. in social work and studied with faith healersa nd psychic surgeons in the Philippines. She founded the Sedona Psychic Training Center and Sedona Psychic Entertainment in Arizona and is a professional clairvoyant, psychic reader, and healer in California. The book is well written with explicit and simple directions and practices for anyone to use to discover these hidden talents of seeing beyond the physical scope. Katz explains that she wanted to make available to everyone the techniques by which she was trained to develop her own psychic ability, which was only weakly discernable in the beginning. Katz firmly believes that everyone has these psychic receptors which only need fine tuning and practice while we learn to trust what we "see." A fascinating book for anyone interested in ESP.

Katz' fantastic book in beneficial to both aspiring psychics and established practitioners alike! I was in a slow and difficult place in my life with my own psychic and metaphysical practice after years of successfully implementing such concepts into my everyday life. Seeking a way to reconcile my neo-pagan lifestyle with my more New-Age metaphysically focused studies was difficult until I found this book. I believe that each of us draw to ourselves information when it is most needed. Being a clairvoyant and clairsentient myself (as we all can be with work and faith), I thought I knew it all; Katz educated me to reevaluate where I was in my psychic abilities and reassess where I was headed. Invaluable resource for anyone interesting in either being clairvoyant to improve your life and faith as well as for those who, like myself, want to heal others and the world through these gifts in a professional approach. Thank you Debra for your fantastic lessons needed by stubborn psychics like myself!

When I found this book, I was looking to answers to some of the odd things that happened through out my life. Dreams that came true, knowing who was on the phone, for starters. I stumbled on this book here at Amazon. I found it fun and easy to read. I couldnt put it down. It definately put me in touch with my pychic side, and have been giving accurate reading to friends. I have reread parts of the book everyday since I bought it! This is one purchase I am extremely pleased with, and I look foreward to her next book.

I went for my first Clairvoyant Aura Reading at InVision (here in Chicago) last Saturday as I was curious how different this is from consulting fortune tellers. I also want to develop my psychic abilities and learning to read the aura. My first clairvoyant aura reading experience was very good. They were very accurate. I highly recommend having this kind of reading as opposed to fortune tellers who does not seem to know what they are doing or saying. There are a lot of phony fortune tellers out there who are only after your money.

Well, since I cannot afford to attend a clairvoyant training course at InVision right now, I decided to buy this book. I have seen this book a few months ago and noticed that the writer use the rose as a focus tool. The clairvoyants at InVision also use this technique. So, I decided to get this book the next day (Sunday). I started with the meditation tools - creating a grounding cord for myself and the rooms in my house etc. I followed the creating and destroying images/things, as well as calling back my energy. The next day Monday when I went to school, I was surprised to see my teacher and classmate's aura and spirit. Since our classroom have white walls, it was easier to see the aura and how pronounced they appeared. I could not take my gaze away from my teacher's direction as she was giving us a lecture. I sure hope she did not think I was staring at her. I am aware that when you stare directly at the aura, you will lose sight of it, so I gazed directly at her but I can see the the outline of her aura and spirit with my peripheral vision. First, I saw the white aura. Then, it grew big/expanded. For the first time, I saw a reddish tint/color around her outer layer, but I have no idea what the colors mean yet. Then, her spirit grew and turned translucent. It looked as if there is a shadow behind her following her every move. This lasted for 15 minutes or longer. When my teacher walked towards the front of the classroom, I could still see her spirit. It was above/behind her. It was amazing! She probably was wondering why I looked at her so intently. Haha!

Last night, I started giving myself a reading. I have been pondering on some questions about my current relationship/friendship with someone. I asked my questions. I saw colors (blue with some red, but the dark blue or indigo blue was the dominant color). Then I asked what these colors meant. I asked to be shown an image or message that I can understand. I'm a Visual Communications student, so creative visualizations is natural to me. A few minutes later, I saw an image of a girl (I guess the girl is me) praying in church and she mentioned about wearing a yellow shirt. I guess the answer to my question is through prayer and to trust God/Universe.

I'm really excited. I highly recommend this book to everyone who are interested in developing their psychic abilities. Thank you for writing this book and for sharing everything that you learned in Clairvoyant Training school.

I found this book to be an extremely informative introduction to psychic ability as well as metaphysical philosophy. It has really sparked my interest in psychic development. Debra Lynn Katz writes in a conversational manner that allows potentially dry, comlicated subject matter to come to life. My copy of the book is worn out from referring to it so much. I also received a psychic reading from the author and found her to be very accurate.

If you are trying to develop your psychic and clairvoyant ability, then theis book is a must. It is a book as the author suggests you first read through, then go back into. There are many and varied exercises that would need months of practice and development, but Debra Katz has generously shared her knowledge and experience with the world. This is the best book on psychic development I have come across.

This is the book! Coming of age just a few months ago. This book has been tremendously helpful to me emotionally, physically, and spiritually. I am blessed that I discovered Katz at this time. It is definitely Psychic 101 and is a gift from her heart.

This book was hard to put down. I have known about most of these tools she has spoken about but she makes it very easy to understand and use on a daily basis. She makes sense. It is just such an amazing book, I bought some for my friends too. I can't say the right words to express how this book has changed my life. I wish you all the best and many blessings.
