The two other reviews here did a fine job recapping the idea behind this album. I personally love it, all of the tracks are well performed and interesting. I personally would have preferred new music, i.e. Streetlight, but I'm far from complaining about this; it's definitely your money's worth of quality music.

However, that's pretty much been said already, and the real reason for me to write this review is that there IS a way to buy a PHYSICAL COPY (along with a bit more elaboration on the album itself) and a better way to support the artists behind this great music.
For those of you Streetlight/BOTAR fans (or anyone interested in more of Dan P.'s work along with his band called The Bricks) who haven't heard of it yet, essentially Streetlight Manifesto and a few other interesting groups (BOTAR included) are now publishing and selling their music through a self-formed independant label called Pentimento Music, or the RISC Group (not sure what the difference between the two are since they seem to be the same if not closely affiliated). Anyway, both of them have a website, and the RISC Group's website sells PHYSICAL CDs in a beautifully illustrated case. For audiophiles (I'm currently listening to You By Me on a 1141 kb/s rip) or anyone who wants to SUPPORT THESE ARTISTS, this is the best way to buy this music, or any other Streetlight or BOTAR music. The album itself is $10 with a couple dollars of shipping costs; well worth it for any fan.

This album is an interesting experiment. Tomas Kalnoky of Streetlight Manifesto (and Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution and formerly of Catch-22) performing 5 songs by Dan Potthast of MU330 under the name "Toh Kay" and Dan performing 5 of Tomas' songs under the name "Dan P".

Personally I enjoyed the songs performed by Toh Kay more, but none of the songs on the album are bad. It's interesting hearing songs you're familiar with being performed in a different style.

I would definitely recommend this album to anyone who likes the above-mentioned bands, but I will say it's overshadowed by the music Tomas Kalnoky has performed with his bands.

This is a really cool idea (probably not completely original... Maybe it is) But interesting none-the-less. I respect Tomas Kalnoky a lot as a musician, and I haven't found any of his music to be dull or lacking. It took me a miniute to figure out what this was, because there is no explanation anywhere (that I can find) on the internet. This is the only place I can find this album too... Other than maybe iTunes, but who uses that anyway? I would love to get the hard copy with artwork, but maybe there isn't one...
