5.0 out of 5 stars Best devotional I have ever read.
The book is so powerful that I keep it in my briefcase. The book relates to all men, regardless of age, marital status or spiritual level. Pastor Jakes tends to almost read my mind when it comes to how we feel about my spouse and relationship with God. The book has a devotion for whatever situation you're going through. The book truly inspires me everytime I pick...

I read this not too long ago. Here's the message of this book in a nutshell-If you're messing up, leave the devil alone and go to God. THERE! Now you can save your money and let the Right Reverend Deacon Dr. Bishop [...], OOPS! I mean Jakes, look elsewhere for desperate people without common sense to help pay for his cadillacs!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful... Wonderful... Thank God, December 28, 1999
This review is from: So You Call Yourself a Man?: A Devotional for Ordinary Men with Extraordinary Potential (Paperback)
From a woman's point of view I know that every man needs to read this book. Allow God to be first in your life. Love yourself enough to know that you can't do it alone. God is the only one who can heal the pain of the past and allow you to live today. God is good. Finally, the truth has been told. Get God and Get Ready.

5.0 out of 5 stars An inspiration to and for REAL men., February 4, 1999

This review is from: So You Call Yourself a Man?: A Devotional for Ordinary Men with Extraordinary Potential (Paperback)
I shared this book with a couple of friends this past Christmas. It was my way of spreading the Gospel and telling them that it does pay to serve a true living God. Before giving it as a gift, I read it and it said all the things women want men to know about who they should be as men in Christ. The one message that resonates is that you must be in the place where your blessings are to receive them. God is waiting on men to come to that place, the blessing is already there. Bless Bishop Jakes for that insight.

Bishop Jakes, thanks you so much for this book. I encourage every man to pick up a copy of this book and to read and mediate on what the Spirit of the Lord would say to him. This book will help you to confront the enemy and declare that you are naked and not ashamed.

This book is great especially for fathers and husbands. I think not only men should read this but also women. Bishop Jakes has done it again. Truly awesome. After reading it myself I went back and bought one for my brothers, sons, ex and friend.

I was very impressed with the readings of this particular book. Biship Jakes gave real insight on the many experiences of men. Gave a well in dept analogy of the evil that's around us everyday. I recommend this book to be read by men and women...
