Better than the title,

I don't love the title of this book and frankly it starts a little slowly, as I am not a fan of anecdotal self-help and it has a faint aroma of such. It was recommended by Dave Lomas of the Reality Church of San Francisco, whose teaching I love, so I had to give it a chance and I'm very happy I did. As I continued into the 3rd chapter or so, I found myself compelled by the author's message. We followers of Jesus receive so much encouragement to live in the freedom available to us, but I struggle to do so on a daily basis. This particular book has a great way of presenting some very practical steps to take toward that freedom. I suppose the title is more apt than I would like to admit. It does clarify the dependence upon God's power and acknowledges the wretchedness of the individual. Again, these are common in the modern church, I appreciate Tim Chester's gracious exposition of these topics and his humble application.
