To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing this letter regarding the extensive care I received from Dr. Masters and his wonderful staff. I am a housewife and am 29 years old. I had my second child in May of 2005 and had tremendous bleeding for an extended period of time; I also had depression, anxiety, and anemia. I lost a considerable amount of weight, and had become a person I felt I no longer recognized. I went to every specialist, M.D., psychiatrist, psychologist, internal medicine doctors, and counselors, with no results of a diagnosis. I was at the end of my rope with no answers and no one to help me; only narcotics and psychiatric drugs which were unnecessary and of no help what so ever. When I cam to Dr. Masters with in the first visit he looked me in the eye and told me with much conviction that he knew he was going to help me without the use of drugs. I now know that I was deeply suffering from “Postpartum Psychosis.”

With his many therapies and emotional tools, dietary changes, we together as a team, worked for approximately two months and I feel stronger than even before my illness. I would recommend to any woman or person suffering from depression or anxiety to be treated by Dr. Masters. With all that I have I know he helped my family, my friends, loved ones recover and I am now using the techniques often and am in control of my emotions. I know from experience ther is not a more educated staff or a more capable, well rounded, caring doctor to treat this condition.

5.0 out of 5 stars Resolving Your Depression Holistically January 19, 2013
By Robert
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Dr. Masters has put together a succinct book that you should begin reading and implementing now. He approaches the treatment of depression from multiple perspectives, writing not only about the more intangible obvious aspects of depression such as "negative thoughts," but also the more tangible physical aspects of this disease, as well as the electrical (nervous system) connection between the two. There are clear evidence-based recommendations as to what you can do to holistically address these three interacting areas to coordinate their function, and resolve your depression. If you have depression, this book will teach you what you need to do nutritionally, physically and mentally in order to bring more brightness to your life.

5.0 out of 5 stars extremely helpful information January 10, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
As someone who was recently been diagnosed with depression, I was very happy to read this book. The only "treatment" that my MD gave me was celexa. While it really works great(after waiting a month for it to kick in) I would like not to have to take it for the rest of my life, especially as I am considering getting pregnant again. This book gave me hope that I can work on treating my depression without having to rely on antidepressants forever. While they are helpful they should not be the end all be all to the treatment of depression. Another thing I liked was that it helped me to better understand depression which was great for me and for understanding the many people in my family who have suffered with depression for years. Thumbs up for valuable information.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great common sense book January 1, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
As a person who guards against depression (due to a chronic crippling health condition)I was glad to see a book that did not talk about antidepressants as the be all, end all solution. When you are diagnosed with a chronic condition one of the first questions asked is, 'Are you depressed?'

If you tell them that you are adjusting and that there are days when the condition seems overwhelming the first response is to write a prescription that has a multitude of side-effects. I opt out of that type of treatment. I will be getting the supplements suggested and the other recommendations are sound. I already practice these and they are indeed helpful in keeping a person on track. This is a great little book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Resource on Depression December 8, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This little Kindle book is an excellent and important resource on depression. As a health care practitioner I of often see clients needing support and guidance in the area of depression and this book offers some great information.

In addition to offering a clear description of what depression is, how it presents and what its many causes are, it offers a very refreshing view of what can be done, including the physical, biochemical and dietary treatments and the emotional/mental tools that can be used to assist the management and potential healing of this epidemic condition.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well worth the read April 13, 2013
By Jason
Format:Kindle Edition
This book is the latest that I have read about depression. I have suffered with it for longer than I care to mention I liked that this books talks about a full body approach to solving the puzzle of depression. This book is consistent with what Naturopathic Doctors have recommended to me as well the chiropractor that I see. There are some really good suggestions in this book that I will put to good use. I like that it was short and to the point, but a little more insight on these topics would have gotten it the fifth star.
