This is a re-release of their 1982 View From The Ground album with the addition of six live tracks from their 1985 In Concert album. A nice collection if you don't already have the originals.

This is a repackaging of America's 1982 "View From The Ground" album with the addition of six live tracks from their 1985 "In Concert" album, both released on the Capitol label. View From the Ground was a modest hit when it was released in 1982, reaching number 41 on the Billboard album chart in the US. It included their top 10 comeback hit "You Can Do Magic" and its follow-up, which just missed the top 40, "Right Before Your Eyes". Other strong tracks from the album include: "Jody", "Love On The Vine", and "Inspector Mills". The live tracks are very good performances of their earlier hits from the 1970s. All in all, a nice collection if you don't already have the original releases.

Im sorry but you can do magic is quite possibly the greatest rock song of all time. The lyrics are chilling, the chimes in the backround put me in a trance every time I here them. Buy this cd and listen to it over and over again........

If you buy only one America album, this is the one to get. Contains the studio version of "You Can do Magic" which is btter than the live version and a live version of "A Horse with no Name" which is better than the studio version.
