In May of 2000, I had someone mention this book and how the author says we are all perfect, whole and complete just as we are. Wow! I knew I had to read this book and what a gift it has been in my life. I also bought the tape and as I walked every day I would listen to it over and over. I was so amazed to become aware that I was responsible for everything that happened in my life...that I am first cause. At the time, I was estranged from my two children and this book helped me to find the way back to them by taking responsibility for me and my actions....to give them unconditional love and to be there to support them in their choices. I also credit this book with giving me the tools to forgive my ex-husband at the core level after eleven years and to release him from any further responsibility for me. I only want from others what is freely given with love. This book helped me to see that everyone I attract into my life is there to support me in reclaiming my power within myself. There are so many other things I could share, but just know that this little book has helped me in my life more than any other book I've read. I was so ready to hear what Arnold had to say and I am so grateful to him for sharing so well and so simply what he has learned.

A TRANSFORMATIVE EXPERIENCE,
By Ed Parker (San Antonio, TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: You Can Have It All (Paperback)
This book is one of the three most helpful books I have ever read and as a university librarian I have read several thousand during my 61 years. I have read it several times and I have also organized groups to help me apply the principles it contains. If some of the concepts seem strange or different, when you apply them in your life you will discover that they work in ways that can exceed your greatest expectations.

You really can have it all,
By A Customer
This review is from: You Can Have It All (Paperback)
But only if you're willing to take total responsibility for the things that happen in your life. What Mr. Patent has done is simply extraordinary. He has shifted the blame from outside to inside. And once that is done, you are empowered. I have had this book for years now and I still find it as fresh and exciting and the first time. I've read and reread this book over the years. It is so simple it's scary. If you never buy another self-help book, buy this one. It's well worth the money and time. This is the original and the best.

Universal Principles,
By Stephen I. Luthy (Pensacola, FL USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: You Can Have It All: Creating a Life of Joy and Abundance, 3rd Ed. (Hardcover)
This book presents some rather unusual concepts which when applied could dramatically change one's life. However the author makes a basic mistake in his presentation by focusing on changing your "thoughts," wherease the real emphasis should be placed on allowing your feelings to flow through you to recreate this change. In his later books, he mentions this mistake, and offers suggestions for corrrecting this error. The difficulty in applying Universal Principles lies in one's resistance to actually allowing the Universe to guide you without your conscious mind's interference. The book will give you a unique perspective for creating a life of abuandance.

I embrace this book!,
By A Customer
This review is from: You Can Have It All (Paperback)
"You Can Have It All" is not just another catchy title. This simple and inexpensive handbook holds the key to Peace and Abundance, and can change your life! Imagine, if everything you were ever told to believe in (or not believe in) was All Wrong! The Universal Principles have been ignored and discarded throughout the generations until the cliches that "Life is a struggle", "hard work is inevitable", and "You'll never amount to anything" become unnecessary truths. The author didn't write the Principles, but conveys them in a way that will make you wonder how you ever missed them before. With this book, Mr. Patent diminishes these myths with his simple explanations of 'how it was meant to be', Discovering Your Purpose, doing what You love, loving what you do, and using your inherent desires and abilities as your life's work. If you NEVER read another book, read this one first! I've been 'using' this book for over a decade, and it continues to work for me.. Thank You, Arnold!

The first time that I read the book it had a very profound impact on my life. I knew that this would be a book that I would read over and over again. Each time I would draw more from it and find another distinction from it.

Profoundly Powerful,
By
This review is from: You Can Have It All (Paperback)
I was first introduced to this book in 1999. It simply changed my life. I have used Arnold's Principles every day since then. Arnold has a gift for reducing complex spiritual concepts into Principles that are both simple and profound. Most real spiritual truths are, i. e., "Love one another as I have loved you." Arnold's Universal Principles ask you to look at your life and your ideas about it in a new and different way. Because it is not intellectually complex, I think that some people who are up in their heads have difficulty, because to work with these truths you have to get out of your head and into your gut, where the real stuff of life happens. These truths should be part of everyone's life, and I encourage you to explore them!

This book has been an intricate catalyze in my life.,
By A Customer
This review is from: You Can Have It All (Paperback)
Reading this book has changed my life considerably for the better. I consciously make choices in my life that promotes me physically, mentally, emotionally, and sprirtually. I've decided to share these principles with others so that they can have the same beautiful fulfilments that I have experienced daily. This book has lead me to new friendships, prosperity, better health, and a new found love for my marriage, just to name a few positive changes. I'm happier and more fulfilled than ever before. Why is it that we learned that we can have the devil in us but never God in us? Our entire lives have been on nagativity. I've choosen to create in my life abundance, love, forgiveness, and the oneness with God. Of course I can go on for a while naming the creativities. Thank you Mr. Patent for sharing this wonderful blessing with me and the world. I love you for being an intricate catalyze in my life, more importantly, I love you for being just you.

Joint effort with Oprah Winfrey?,
By Thomas Ligotti Reader (Somewhere, on earth) - See all my reviews
This review is from: You Can Have It All (Paperback)
"One of the most important books I have ever read," is the quote on the cover (at the very top) by Oprah Winfrey. You Can Have It All is a powerful, thought-provoking book. Arnold M. Patent explains how we can have love, joy, inner peace, and unlimited abundance. The foreward is written by John Gray who has been on Oprah's tv show. Appears almost like a "who has been on Oprah joint effort," but that's okay. The material is heavy, and certainly isn't light reading, but highly entertaining. The only flaw is there is too much information, too much explaining that by the end of the book I actually applauded myself for finishing the book. I do recommend the book for anyone who wish to renew awareness with the Universe. Take your time. Enjoy.

This review is from: You Can Have It All (Paperback)
I read an earlier edition of this book in 1985 and it changed my life permanently. As far as I'm concerned, Arnold "cracked the code" - i.e., he figured out the keys to making life work. Twenty-six years later, I still meet regularly with people who support each other in applying the principles in this book to their everyday life. The principles are always on my mind, and they inform my decisions and actions. In the 1980s and 1990s Arnold spoke to large audiences and you could hear a pin drop. Sometimes what he says sounds "different" to people who haven't given thought to the matter, and it may not resonate. Some of these people are eventually persuaded and others are not. That's okay. We all hear want we want to hear, we listen when we are ready to, and we take our wisdom from different sources. Everyone is different, and that's the beauty of the human condition. |
