5.0 out of 5 stars Another great suspense novel from Carlene Thompson, March 14, 2009
This review is from: You Can Run... (Mass Market Paperback)
In a slight departure from her usual style, Carlene Thompson presents us with an intriguing and deadly puzzle. The protagonist, photographer Diana Sheridan, has taken over the care of 5-year old Willow after her close friend Penny, Willow's mother, is severely injured in a house explosion. She is aided by the kind but enigmatic Tyler Raines, who seems to appear whenever Diana needs him most. Diana receives support from others as well, including her great-uncle Simon, a retired archeologist (with whom she lives), and his new lady friend, Clarice. But as bits and pieces of Penny's secretive past begin to emerge, both Diana and Willow are becoming more and more endangered. Lurking behind a clever façade, a cunning killer is gaining ground, growing closer every minute. The final revelations are stunning, and the ending wildly satisfying. Once again, Thompson has written a novel I can sink my mind into and relish until the final page. Another great job.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent!!, March 22, 2009

This review is from: You Can Run... (Mass Market Paperback)
I love, love, LOVE her books!! I own all of them and have a VERY hard time putting them down to do other things. You Can Run is another EXCELLENT story. She draws you in to the characters, they seem like real people, I cheer or cry along with the story line. She never fails to keep you guessing as to who the killer is all the way to the end!! Just when you think you have it figured out...surprise...it's someone else!! Can't wait for the next book!!

5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite Carlene Thompson to date., March 26, 2009
This review is from: You Can Run... (Mass Market Paperback)
I have read all of Carlene's books and I have to say that this one is my favorite so far. The storyline is fast paced and keeps the reader guessing untill the end. I love the way that she uses her pets as characters in her books. Christabel and Romeo are stars!
I really enjoyed the way the book ended and how surprised I was to find out who the "bad guy" was.
The setting for this book is my hometown of Huntington,WV. Carlene does an amazing job of describing the beauty and history of our city.
