Good start, but disappointing overall,

This review is from: You Can See The Light: How You Can Touch Eternity--And Return Safely (Mass Market Paperback)
I absolutely adored the description of the author's near-death experience. It is one of the best I have ever read. However, I don't think the techniques she recommends for replicating one's own NDE will work to the extent implied in the title and intro. Sure, maybe one can have an out-of-body experience in a dream, but that is a far different experience than the one she had when she "died," when she went to a supreme heavenly place and felt total joy and bliss. I thought the connection she made between the two was a bit of a stretch.

Get ready to take the first steps towards leaving your body,

We have all done it before. In fact we do it all the time. That is how Dianne morrissey explains how we all leave our bodies at night when we are asleep. In her book she gives the reader all the tools necessary to take control of one's out of body experience. She shows us how to use certain exercises to cause a focused out of body experience. Dianne Had a near death experience that caused her to project out of her body . She was pronounced dead for several minutes before coming back. She has never been the same since. This is her story and her teachings. Don't miss out on this book.

Very Authentic and Very Facinating Read,

I am researching NDE for a book I am writing and very few offer a real experience as does Morrissey. Should be titled "How Not to Clean a Fish Tank" Dianne Morrissey presented a very well written near death experience and uplifted me. Unlike many NDE claims, this author had been clinically dead a substantial amount of time. She documents what happened in very specific detail and does not impose or interpret her religious beliefs on the reader-as I note a few authors of NDE type books do. I wish I could have met her dogs that were "in on" the whole ordeal, and trying to help her! Also, just having an Near Death Experience does not automatically make an "author" as I found in my research. I have to suffer through some not so gifted writers who did have an experience. Morrissey rightly winged both in "You Can See the Light." She had a near death experience and she is a great writer as well. I also wish she would go on Kindle-but sometimes that is not financially prudent, I know. I found Morrissey's book to be authentic, as good as any page turning fiction novel-yet true. Authentic, facinating, where I can connect and identify with the author. That is how I like "my reads." How can you two star a persons near death experience anyway? And more so the ability to convey it to others which can take guts and talent? I gave it five stars, Morrissey has it all. |
