Over the years there have been many books written on the subject of Blackjack. Most are complex and in-depth, containing many confusing graphs and charts and packed full of facts, figures, percentages, and other overwhelming information that even a rocket scientist would have trouble understanding. Most of this information you never need. You don't have to know why you hit 16 against the dealer's 10, nor do you need complex charts telling you in great detail how many times out of a thousand you will win or lose with this hand. All that you need to know is that with 16 against a 10 you hit. My aim is to show you clearly, concisely, and in easy-to-understand terms that You Can Win! I have worked in the casino industry for over ten years in Europe, on cruise ships, and in the United States, and have seen countless thousands of people lose their money across the tables (in some cases huge fortunes), all because of one main reason: The didn't know how to play! Their play was erratic and inconsistent. Sometimes they would hit 15 against the dealer's 9, sometimes they would stand. Sometimes they would double-down on 11 and sometimes not. They would automatically split pairs, most times without ever looking to see the dealer's up-card. Money management was almost nonexistent. They would play hunches and chase their losses, betting with money they could not afford. They would let superstition get the better of them, or worse still, their temper. All of these are cardinal mistakes and any one of them will result in the eventual loss of their money, yet if you asked them they would tell you that "they know what they are doing" or "have been playing for ye! ars." They have been losing for years. In this book I will teach you how to win the simplest way possible. You will find no confusing or unnecessary facts and figures-only the information you need to become a winner. You do not need an extraordinarily high I.Q. in order to count cards or to learn proper basic strategy. All you need is time to practice and the willingness to learn. Read through this book learning one chapter at a time. Take your time with each section. Do not start reading the next chapter until you are completely confident with what you have just learned. Don't run before you can walk. In just a few weeks you will have learned more about the game of Blackjack than most players learn in a lifetime.

2.0 out of 5 stars excelent book, if it was free, October 30, 2002

This book contains very little of information, but will get the begineer off to a good start. All of the technics and terms are presented in a very easy to understand manner. However, by searching the internet for "blackjack strategy" or something similar to that, you'll find many free sites with very similar stuff withing 10 minutes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thanks Stephen, August 3, 2002

I'd bought your book because I generally play slots but hadn't had much luck there. I know blackjack has better odds but I didn't know the best strategy to increase my chances of winning. Plus, I didn't want to embarrass myself by not knowing proper table etiquette. Your book took care of all my concerns, plus I turned $50 into $300. Thanks!

Just two weeks after buying this book I tried it out at my local casino. I turned $200 into nearly $3,000 in only 25 minutes! Well worth the[investment]. If you play blackjack you really need to read this book.
