Classic release with the worst remastering, January 13, 2005
This review is from: You Can't Stop Rock & Roll (Audio CD)
While this release is an all-time Classic, the "Remastered" version is not recommended for those Twisted Sister Die-hard fans who want to listen to the real power of this band.
It's really sad how an excellent release is made crap due to a bad remastering work.
Don't know what kind of "sound" engineers released this new version but they just made it sound horrible.
So if you can get the old version (which has a better sound quality) just get it. Don't buy this SPITEFIRE version.

Old School At It's Best, October 8, 2008

Raw but intense! Twisted Sister is an incredible band... The tracks on this album are just as I remembered, but I haven't heard them in years. I Am, I'm Me is about my favorite song on this project. It's flat out HEAVY with balls!!!! Every metal lover should get this and play it loud!!! Do neck exercises before you headbang... You WILL be sore!

My favorite Sister album, December 18, 2004
This review is from: You Can't Stop Rock & Roll (Audio CD)
It's hard now trying to remember Twisted Sister as 'underground' but that's exactly where they were on the release of this. Still unknown, and when their record company went bankrupt during 'Under the Blade', Dee and Co. had an uphill fight.
Well this album should have turned the world on it's ear. Atlantic records at first didn't pay them much attention, but after witnessing their live shows and the word got circulating about Great Britain at a fanatical rate, Atlantic decided to give these guys support on their next album, the legendary 'Stay Hungry".
But what of this album? It rocks, roxx, rawks!!! The title track is the jewel of the album and must be cranked as loud as your stereo can possibly go. The raw power of this song is enough to shake the paint off the walls. The video was hilarious, the chorus is deafening, and the message is clear. This was the Sister's greatest moment in my book.
But the rest of the album kicks ass too. I love 'Knife in the back'. That's a killer bass line Mark is laying down. "I'll take you Alive" is Dee at his fullest rage. "I am I'm me" stirred up things a little in England and "Suzette's Song" is by far Twisted's best ballad.
All in all their is so much more to Twisted Sister than 'Stay Hungry'. If you like your meat and potatoes kind of rock n roll with strong backing vocals, awesome guitar work, and great drumming, you got to check this album out.
