Third For The Road,

This review is from: You Don't Have to Be in the Army (Audio CD)
"You don't have to be in the army" was the 3rd excellent album (1971) by British supergroup "Mungo Jerry" re-issued as Japanese mini-LP (as shown on the images), which followed huge success of "Electronically Tested"Electronically Tested. The artwork represented an stylish imitation of period war posters. The original team of Ray Dorset, Paul King, Colin Earl and John Godfrey was fortified by Joe Rusj on washboard, and the band stuck to its jugband-hardrock roots. The music is as hot as a pinch of pepper in the ass
P.S. Don't trust the critics: it has nothing to do with glam - no Tolkienesque dragons, magicians, wizzards... You don't need to fight evil spirits - a hangover, perhaps... |
