I love throwdown!(points to name). In my opinion this is Throwdown's best album. The whole album is just unforgettable. Every track is a hardcore masterpiece. The breakdowns are sick, the lyrics are sincere and simple, and the drumming is right on. The songs on this album are the kind of songs that get stuck in your head for weeks at a time. By the time you listen to this album 3 or 4 times you'll be singing along to every song. This is one of the catchiest(is that a word?)hardcore albums i've ever heard, and that is a good thing. This is truly an amazing hardcore album. One of my favorites right up there with Converge, Bane, Comeback Kid, Terror, and the almighty Minor Threat. This is a must for anyone who enjoys hardcore.

This is a great hardcore album!! These guys tear it up on every song. The only falt i can find on this album is throwdown doesn't give you a chance to breathe and can be fatal if one is over exposed. I have listened to this album dozens of times and it is one of the only hardcore albums i've ever heard that makes me say "WOW" every time it's over! Great lyrics, blasting parts in nearly every song, viscious growling vocals, and the hardest heaviest teeth shattering stomps ever recorded in every song. This band is the real deal. Do yourself a favor and check them out!

All I can say is check out the breakdown at the end of "Accept the Change". It is the sickest thing I have ever heard. What I really appreciate about the band is how the concept of each song is described in the notes. Every song has a specific goal and message. Straight Edge is alive and well and throwdown keep it fresh. Accept the change? NO!

This cd has to be one of my favorite hardcore cds. This cd has some really good breakdowns and I prefer this voice than the new one. Im kinda dissapointed in the band now but they're still good. I think if you like hardcore you must buy this cd. It's there best one yet.

Before I get into my review, if you aren't straight edge and aren't open minded, you probably will not like this band. Their lyrics are very pro straight edge (take the last song "the edge is strong - i will not compromise"). If you can handle such topics, then you will probably like them.

Anyway, on with the review. Throwdown are unbelievable. I saw them a few months ago at the gilman in berkley and they completely blew me away. As with any hardcore band, you have to see them in concert to truly appreciate them. The floor was insane, with a bunch of kids hxc dancing and other people moshing around them. Tons of sing-alongs and pile-ons. Great fun. On with the cd...I'm not sure if I like this one more then "Beyond Repair." A definate plus is the production. This CD is far beyond their first album in the realm of recording quality. Style-wise, Throwdown have matured a little, the singer sings a little bit more but still screams the majority of the time. His lyrics have improved a lot too (not that they were ever bad). The songs are pure mosh fun, very heavy and not too fast. This is a perfect cd to go nuts to if you're ever bored, and this is one of the top five hardcore bands out there right now. If you're into straight edge hxc, positive hardcore, or just hardcore in general, check these guys out.

yet another quality release by these fellows. it strikes hard from start to finish never giving you a rest from the music you have grown to love. maybe enough to surpass their first full length cd , You dont have to be blood to be family, is an album you should all go out and pick up and support them

This is one of those cds that when someone asks you why you like it so much, you can't tell them why, it just straight up rocks. There are no amazing technicalities or new innovations here, there is just heavy heavy hardcore with awesome breakdowns and fierce vocals.

Throwdown, really throw down. This is the best hardcore CD of the year. Just saw them last week at the Gilman and they tore it up. Heavy, groovy hardcore at its best. Like Hatebreed, then you will fall in love with these Orange County kats. If you want to get floorpunched buy this and get in the PIT for some serious hardcore dancing. This is the heaviest CD since Hatebreed. AKLOCC is out OBHC>

I think this is Throwdowns best cd. It has good lyrics and good breakdowns in every song. The singers voice takes a little while to get used to though.
