Good songs ----BUT not enought here., April 13, 2010
This review is from: You Don't Know What You Got (Audio CD)
Don't know why "Collectables" label would even bother to make this c.d.
Ral Donner had a total of only 5 songs to chart during 1961 and 62,
yet only 2 of them are here, and 3 b-sides.
In addition to that, nine of these ten songs are on another c.d. also on "Collectables" label titled,
"Ral Donner, You don't know what you got, a golden classics edition".
That collection contains 18 songs, and does have all 5 charted hits.
The one song here that is not on "You don't know what you've got" is
"It's been a long long time" which is the b-side of his first hit.
The "Don't know" C.D. is a pretty good collection for the money, and is all great songs.
Footnote: If you like Ral Donner's style,
some of the collections other than the two "Collectables" label collections may be more desirable.
All the songs on both of the "collectables" c.d.s are on
the "Ral Donner 33 greatest hits" c.d, on "TeenAger" label, plus 13 more!
It contains the 5 charted songs and the b-side of each.
Additionally there are also a couple of other collections that also contain all the hits and b-sides,
with many more tracks, and ALL great music.
Such as --
"The Complete Ral Donner" on Sequel Records U.K. 1994,
and "You don't know what you've got" by Castle Music, 2002.
