5.0 out of 5 stars Read this book now!
You Forever was written some years ago now, in the 1960's, preceding much of todays "new age" literature. Whereas a book such as The Celestine Prophecies deals with these issues in a parable form, Lobsang Rampa approaches subjects such as astral travel, telepathy, and karma from a teachers point of view. 3.0 out of 5 stars Good but half true
Yes astral travel exist, yes everybody has an aura...but you don't need to be a ''good guy'' to do it. You forever is a very good book with some very information but unfortunatly the author is telling peoples to use their power for good things or else you will lose your power. That's not true at all, your guilt will make you lose your power. That's what the author...

As a result of this book I have learnt to travel in other dimensions and much more, changing my life for the better a hundred times over.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Book on Tantric Buddhist and Occult Thought, February 14, 2005
By
This review is from: You Forever (Paperback)

This is an awesome book on Tantric Buddhism and the occult under Buddhist thought, one grid of measurement in the sea of beneficial blueprints to view humanity and reality under. In this T. Lobsand Rampa goes into the idea of human body and the atomistic view in its relation to smaller and higher forms of matter, the etheric and magnetic fields, the aura and it's colors, the wave fields of telepathy, clairvoyance and psychometry along with other waves of of existence in all matter.

Written as a mail order course combined into a book format, lessons are conveyed on how to understand and read the auric sheath, it's colors, the ability to see the etheric and aura fields, escaping the limitations of the body through meditative practices beyond thought and conceptual thinking, intuitively feeling existence. In this are out of body auric experiences, the auric body travel while dreaming while attached by a psychic silver cord. How life as we know it is a school of suffering for growth towards higher existence beyond our incarnations of existence through reincarnation.

In order to grow psychically, one has to leave the highs and the lows of thinking in moodiness of euporhia and depression to that of the sound stable waves of inner composure and calmness. Our minds consist of electrical waves when kept level and balance exist for us in an inner peace with calm faith in the universal laws of karma where we can maintain a peaceful inner existence which induces our psychic abilities of telepathic hearing, clairvoyant visions and the psychometric ability to feel the vibrational frequencies of history in objects, places, things and people. And there is reading the Akashic Record which contains the knowledge of all history.

And T. Lobsand Rampa expounds on the act of giving, forgiving and letting go of anger and fear. This includes practices of breathing and balance of non-thinking that lets go of anger and emotional turmoils. To continue fear anger and anxiety is to run an engine in lower gear going the same speed.

There is mentioned self-hypnosis to the subconscious, to train our minds to do as we wish. The wisdom is in living in a peaceful state of kindness, tolerance, understanding and balance beyond all the petty concerns of the physical competition, of the constant clinging and aversions of the materialistic and ignorant. Generosity, agape, tithing to your causes are essential. I really enjoyed these spiritual principles. It makes me smile at the ignorance of the monotheists and Christians that condemn the occult, while these teachings endorse the only acts of receiving are through giving, an attitude and life of service to others.

There are no doctrines, no religious dogmas, but the endorsement to let people have their own philosophies, religions and doctrines, unless of course the reader is dogmatic about these teachings or any other he or she reads.

5.0 out of 5 stars You Forever, December 10, 2003

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: You Forever (Paperback)
As you can see by many of the reviews, Dr. Rampa is a genuine Tibetan Buddhist/Surgeon. This book is a boon for those trying to understand 'emptiness'. He makes it quiet clear what it is in the first two chapters. He teaches you how to relax your body and your mind so that you can begin your adventure into the realm of the Greater Reality. There are no big words, no fancy words and no very strange words that don't mean a thing to us here in the West. This book is ideal for getting younger people into the realm of metaphysics and truth, a realm which is hard to perceive nowadays. All of his books are well worth reading because in them and in "You Forever" he gets right down to the straight stuff, the right stuff, to gain enlightenment. You do not need to abandon loved ones or live in the wilderness nor do you need to give away all of your possessions. Dr. Rampa is the missing link to all the other Buddhist writings out on the market today. Dr. Rampa makes things easy. All you need to do is work for them with practice, practice, practice.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent guide to the spiritual aspect of ourselves., March 7, 1999
This review is from: You Forever (Paperback)
This book provides an excellent explanation of our spiritual selves, what we have lost but were with us all along. It is very encouraging with practical guides to teach the individual how to regain our lost abilities. With them, we will live a more fulfilling life and be able to assist others mroe effectively. This is Lobsand Rampa's best book.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this book, November 12, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: You Forever (Paperback)
I think this is a wonderful book and throughly recomend reading it to anyone interested in, Psycic abilities, psycic touch, seeing Aura's and Clarivoyance. For anyone searching for inner peace in this world of hectic work and noise, very well written and thought provoking, this book would go very well beside William Hewit's Psycic development for beginners. If I could recomend an order for reading, I would suggest,William Hewitt's book on Pchchic Development followed by T. Lobsang Rampa and most anything by ted Andrews.

5.0 out of 5 stars A CONCEPT OF BUDDHISM, ALBEIT THE TIBETAN VARIETY..., May 29, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: You Forever (Paperback)
This book explains to the uninitiated about some of the mysteries of Eastern Religion, and also 'The other World'; pertaining to ghosts, gods and other entities of the next dimension. Written in everyday English and in an extremely witty manner, it speaks highly of the author's persona and understanding of the occult. He has managed to put across what Religion represents, and what we Orientals have understood for centuries, into an easily understood and highly readeble format. After all, isn't it Einstein who once said, " The Monk and the Scientist are on the same paths!"

This review is from: You Forever (Paperback)
I have been reading this author for over 30 years and I still find his books as fascinating now as I did then. This book and others by this author encourage the reader to interpret and adapt the material to their own way of living. It is also written for the Western reader in an easy to read style.Encourages the reader to explore their own spirituality without heavy handed axioms.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best books about spirituality available, October 16, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: You Forever (Library Binding)
This book is one of the best books on spirituality available. It is a no nonsense guide to just about everything a developing "sensitive" will be asking themselves. Although a great introduction, I would recommend reading a bit on spiritual protection aswell. (See books by Dawn Hill.)
