On Nancy's fabulous new CD, "You Go-Go Girl!" she offers us a delicious taste of classic '60s pop. Her versatility is demonstarted greatly throughout, from the rousing opener, the pop gem "How Does That Grab You, Darlin'?" to the softer, sexy "Call Me." As a bonus for fans, we get four incredible tracks: the hard-to-find, energetic "Your Groovy Self" from the film "Speedway" (a personal favorite), the previously unreleased, funky "Love Is Strange" (with Lee Hazlewood), the previously unreleased "Zodiac Blues" (sure to be a hit amongst fans), and the wonderful "Geronimo" from the film "Ghost In the Invisible Bikini." Everything is brought to a climax on the last track, the kitsch classic, and signature tune "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'." Excellent cover, great pics inside and liner notes. This is a MUST for ANYONE! You Go-Go, Nancy!

I AM THRILLED WITH THIS CD. ESPECIALLY BECAUSE OF THE FOUR "MOVIE" SONGS INCLUDED ON THE CD. THE PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED "ZODIAC BLUES" IS INTERESTING AS IS THE NANCY AND LEE SONG "LOVE IS STRANGE". THANKS, NANCY, FOR GIVING YOUR FANS THE OPPORTUNITY TO ENJOY SO MANY OF YOUR UNRELEASED SONGS OVER THE LAST FIVE YEARS. LOOKING FORWARD TO MUCH MORE!

A must have for any Nancy Fan! The big draw is the previously unrealeased material. The duet of "Love is Strange" between Nancy and Lee is a prime example of the great chemistry between the two stars. My favorite though is "Your Groovy Self", here Nancy is at her sultry take charge best. This CD is a highlight of Miss Nancy's best work.

I could not disagree more strongly with a prior reviewer who criticizes Ms. Sinatra's vocal ability. Like her superstar father she has an absolutely beautiful voice. I agree with him that she is at her best with sultry songs, but her voice is in its way as pleasurable as Aretha Franklin or other more famous singers. I listen to music that is fun and that can be played over and over. This fits the bill on both counts. You will not be disappointed by this album.

Anybody buying a Nancy Sinatra CD for her vocal abilty will be sorely dissapointed. All you have to do is listen to her compellingly bad cover duet with Lee Hazlewood of "Love Is Strange". One wonders the looks on the face of people listening to the final product in the studio. Did they look at her and say, "Wow Nancy, that was great!"? Sometimes her voice is flatter then a watered-down pancake. Nancy Sinatra is all about attitude, and when she hits her mark, she does it dead on with her trademark vocal sneer/growl. Don't get me wrong, this is a groovy little compilation and Nancy deserves her place in the 'Cool Hall of Fame.' She was the first pop-star two have two-toned hair! I've always loved her cover of "Daytripper", and that Zodiac song is really fun too. There is only one Nancy Sinatra and I'm really glad to see her songs and videos being reissued. So, if you really want to groove, this CD is a must-have!

'You Go-Go Girl!', realeased in 1999 which a few unreleased songs became an unknown treaure now being unraveled by consumers. The CD, consisting of 16 tracks including Nancy's one out of two, first #1 hit "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'" from the 1966 album "Boots" which made her one of the most favorite artists of the 60s. This album has really a strong personality which song slike "How Does That Grab You, Darlin'?", which hit #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart and "In Our Time" which topped to #45, Nancy's more loveable tunes can be found on this CD. On this CD, we find "Love Is Strange", a demo duet between mentor Lee Hazelwood and Nancy, which would've been an instant hit if released back in the 60s. It's a fun duet between the two, one of my more favorite songs out of all of their duets. The energetic "Geronimo" can be found on the CD emerging from the movie "The Ghost In The Invisible Bikini". Another previously unreleased song, "Zoadiac Blues", a more funky, groovy song indeed. This song really defines the word "Groovy" with ease from its catchy lyrics to its rapid pace of words. "The Last of the Secret Agents", a spoof of the Jame's Bond movie back in the late 60s, is a more fun, loveable song. One of Nancy's best loved songs can be found on this CD.. "You Only Live Twice", coming from the James Bond movie "You Only Live Twice" released in 1967. Reprise sure did feed out a great number of famous songs by Nancy. This CD is truely worth your money. You best go-go to the nearest place you can buy this CD and get your hands on it before somebody's boots walk all over you. Be sure not to be a day tripper before someone else gets this CD. You only live twice -- so why not? Anyhow, now that you read this review, I have to split. So long, babe.

Nancy crawls through un-peppy versions of "Love Is Strange" and "Daytripper", but when she gets down to business, as on the recently unearthed "Zodiac Song", she's cool-headed fun. Never one to really cut loose and get campy, Sinatra sings up to her persona as a tough cookie, yet the rare movie-track "Geronimo!"--available here for the first time--shows off her youthful exurberance. It's worth the price.

Once again NANCY has managed to lure us into her web with her "back scratchin', word biting" style. Not much new here but some true gems never on CD before plus 2 previously unreleased songs. A must have for NANCY fans young and old. The original "energizer-Playboy" BUNNY keeps on going. NANCY, YOU GO GO GIRL!

I must say that what intrigued me most about this album when I first saw it was the cover. I think I was about 14 when this cd came out and the cover was unlike anything I'd been exposed to at the time (boy bands were all the rage, girl pop singers, etc.) I really liked Nancy's outfit and wasn't sure what a go-go girl was. I purchased the album and got my first taste of pure 60s pop-songs that weren't played on the oldies radio. For years during car rides with my dad he would never let me listen to the modern pop stations like Kiss Fm and the radio couldn't be moved from kluv my oldies. Like most teens I resented it-they only played like what seemed to me the same old 20 songs. I didn't appreciate The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, or Mamas and Papas or Elvis yet. Then it grew on me. I started listening and I liked what I heard. Why had I been wasting my time on new pop music which is mostly focused on beats and songs about sex because it sells. Songs could be about love and tell stories. I was hooked. I loved Nancy's girl powered songs-unlike the Spice Girls who claimed girl power but didn't really have any songs to back it up! How does it grab you baby? I liked instantly, Your Groovy Self is so strong and cool still, call me was beatiful and sexy, Day Tripper while not as good as the original was still good, The Last of the Secret Agents had funny lyrics, In Our Time has a feel to it that makes me wish to have been a part of that time, Love is Strange was my first introduction to Lee or that unsual voice dueting with Nancy as I thought at the time. Good Time Girl I can't help but feel is a product of its time when guys wanted girls to have fun and be fun with-if you grab me darlin;), Sorry Bout That however makes up for it by having a strong girl power theme. Zodiac Blues while not my fave has grown on me-I dig astrology so I like the theme! You Only Live Twice is great, The City Never Sleeps at Night is a great jazzy pop tune-it tells a great story, So Long, Babe is yet another girl power power ballad! Happy is beautiful and made me happy-still does. Geronimo-taught me to spell the word! And Last but not least Nancy's kick-ass and still definitive version of These Boots Are Made For Walkin'-modern day girl pop singers should take a note from Nancy-the original Queen of Pop as the trailer for Speed Way put it. A must own!

Besides the liner notes which are full of inaccuracies (no, "Your Groovy Self" does not make its CD debut on this compilation. Check out the SPEEDWAY Soundtrack on CD) this is a wildly enjoyable compilation with some fun rarities. Nancy Sinatra always seems to make her young and old fans begging for more. Grab this compilation and slap on your go-go boots once more!
