The reason Duke Robillard is one of the finest and most influential guitarists on the planet is represented well on "You Got Me". The man is so capable and authentic in so many genres of music it's almost beyond belief! No other guitarist (with the rare exception) can play Texas rock 'n roll, rockabilly, blues, country, jazz and swing, all with equal virtuosity. The Duke would be at ease playing with Count Basie, Hank Williams or Chuck Berry in the same night! This album brings back his great rhythm section, the Pleasure Kings for several cuts as well as Jimmie Vaughan, Dr. John and others for a simply fantastic listening experience. All Duke Robillard discs are highly recommended.
