I AM A FAN!!!,

This review is from: You Got To Pay To Play (Paperback)
"You Got To Pay To Play" is another steamy read by Ms. Meisha J. Camm.
The dark plot is an everyday reality women endure and envelopes the reader completely. Izzy is a powerful character that becomes entangled in a cycle of abuse from childhood, but she perserveres none the less! The sex scenes are blushingly explicit; your imagination runs wild! I love it when an author can get you to smell, taste, and, ahem, feel, what the characters are motioning through! I thought "Mistress" was my favorite, but, "You Got To Pay To Play" has stolen 1st place! Great, fast reading that sucks you in immediately! I can't wait until #4 book, Ms. Camm!

Full of drama!,

I thought that this book was an excellent read. I loved Meisha Camm's other book, Mistress, so I figured I would give this one a chance too. I didn't think it was possible for her to top the "drama factor" that was in her previous novel, but she did it again. "You Got to Pay to Play" was full of drama and my emotions were constantly being taken from one level to the next. Camm was so descriptive with her sex scenes that it just added to the intensity of the book. I would tell anyone to get this book and I can't see how anyone wouldn't enjoy it. Can't wait till her next one!

I have always enjoyed reading books by Meisha Camm so I was excited to get my hands on this one. The main character was Isabel Preston and it focused on her ups and downs throughout life, she was a real trip in the beginning of the book and at times I wanted to jump in the story and slap some sense into her myself because she came off as really spoiled and disrespectful. She got alot of things handed to her throughout life that I felt she wasnt too deserving of. This story had a weird flow,at times it would move fast, really fast, slow, slower, then really fast.I guess thats why it took me awhile to finish reading this book.Other than that I feel as though it was an ok read.

Meisha Camm's latest book is NOT boring. I read it when it first came out in February. Recently, on a trip with my girlfriends, I read it all over again. I let one of my girlfriends read one of the sex scenes and she wouldn't put the book down. It also gives encouragement to women who are in abusive situations. You can get out! The twist at the end, I never saw coming. Meisha Camm is a talented author. All of her books are laced with laughter, tears and joy with many twists and turns. I have confidence she will be around for years to come. Out of her other books, Mistress and Hidden Intentions, this one is my favorite.

Chica's Got Skillz,
This review is from: You Got To Pay To Play (Paperback)
I'm a serious fan of Ms. Camm's writing. Her ability to tell a story in a way that gives the reader no choice but to feel as though they were actively participating is unique and refreshing. The sex scenes were beyond steamy and the dialogue was colorful and fun. I believe that Meisha Camm has a long and very promising literary career ahead of her and look forward to reading her next book.

Meisha Camm's latest book, You Got To Pay to Play was excellent. I read it in one day. It's like a roller coaster ride full of laughter, excitement, joy, sadness and pain. Izzy was my favorite character. She goes through not having a father around to an abusive boyfriend and deals with being raped. I definitely could relate to some of the characters in the book. This book is quite empowering for women. Izzy eventually held her own, overcame her obstacles and didn't need a man to take care of her. Instead, she had her own business. The person who first reviewed this book and who goes by"Loves To Read" is a hater plain and simple. That person has nothing better else to do.Haters are simply bottom feeders wishing they could write a book and get it published. Most of all, this book taught a lesson of consequences. ULTIMATELY, THE SEX SCENES IN THIS BOOK ARE TOP NOTCH!!! My favorite book by Meisha Camm is Hidden Intentions. I definitely look forward to her future work.

I'm the first person to review this book and let me say this is one of the worst books I've ever read. This was my first read by Ms. Camm and I'm not impressed, personally I think that the main character Izzy was self centered and spoiled, the way that she treated her mother and grandmother was horible. The story starts off with Izzy's dad up and leaving his family, then goes on to her getting older and getting into an abusive relationship. I just couldn't get over how stupid and hyprocital Izzy was, for example she found out her dad was hooked on crack and her mom decided to stay by his side, Izzy threw a huge tantrum stopped talking to her parents, the whole while she's still involved with a man who beats her. I'm mad i spent money on this book and i got it used and only paid $5 which is way too much, you couldn't pay me to read this garbage again. Please dont waste your time I usually finish a book in 2 days this book took me 4 weeks to complete it. I think I'm more upset about the time it took from my life rather than the money I spent. Do your self a favor and skip this one.

LUV TO READ,
This review is from: You Got To Pay To Play (Paperback)
Oh my gosh. What can I say about this book? Izzy the main character is truly a trip. She likes to be judgmental and unforgiving of others when her life hasn't been a bed of roses. She wouldn't speak to her parents for over 15 years. She was in an abusive relationship and was also an escort but, acts like she is a princess and her stuff don't stink. Think the writing in this book was very horrible. I mean stuff wouldn't make since and you would have to read the sentences over to get what you were reading. The typos were just ridiculous. Overall I was very unsatisfied. I am so glad I got this book from the library. I would've been really upset if I spent my hard earned money on this.

My bookshelf consists of history and science fiction books. I usually don't read romance novels. I was truly impressed with this book. I look forward to reading Meisha Camm's other books.
