Great Song but check out the remix,

This is a great song that has some definite staying power but check out the CD's hidden track, a remix of this song. Adds another dynamic to the song that pushes it over the top.

Marge Simpson hair, funny make-up, unfortunate teeth and of course the obligatory tats. Add in the usual crazy artist and rehab stuff. I was certainly prepared to dislike her. Then I heard some of her cuts and realized that she is a rare talent who sings interesting and musical songs.
I like her deep, dark voice and the complex musical stuff she does. It is actually amazing to me that she has so many fans because she is certainly not mainstream. It is proof of her talent that so many people are able to dismiss her strangeness and just enjoy her music. My fear is that she will be like Janis Joplin, a meteor that flames out too soon. I suggest that you listen to her stuff, get an idea of what she does and overlook the weirdness. You might become a fan if you aren't one now.

Up to no good,

Amy Winehouse's "You know I'm no good" is at once tongue-in-cheek and poignant. Winehouse embodies the self-destructive diva. This song at once mocks and celebrates that. She sings of her husband's devotion, but her constant refrain is "you know I'm no good." Considering her drug problems, her husband's trial&imprisonment, her recent racist video, her catastrophic recent live concert... she is sadly prophetic. "You know I'm no good" outshines "Rehab" with its brashness and insight. There's a certain level of pathetic self-knowledge here.
"You know I'm no good" has a '60s sound, evoking the Ronettes, Dusty Springfield... yet it is tragically relevant.
