Man - 'Do You Like It Here Now, Are You Settling In?' (Esoteric / Cherry Red), January 20, 2008
This review is from: Do You Like It Here Now Are You Settling in (Audio CD)
Originally released in 1971, so I'm assuming this was possibly Man's fourth album. I had recently compared notes with a couple of old school fans and both had mentioned they didn't think that 'Do You Like...' was exactly the long-running progressive British band's best work. Personally, I thought it was nearly as good as their self-titled 1970 effort. Best tracks this CD reissue has to offer are the uplifting "Angel Easy", the tightly-played "We're Only Children", "Manillo" that features some really good Man-trademark guitar riffing and "Love Your Life" (has an almost Deep Purple sound to it). Esoteric tags on three (3) bonus cuts of this ALREADY should-have CD. Very nice.
