I bought this book for Mrs.Spudman, the one who does the sewing, quilting, and crafting, because she was looking for a doggy project to sink her teeth into. She'd already made, raincoats, sweaters, blankets, and jackets for our pooches and their cousins. She seems a bit underwhelmed with this book saying there aren't enough new things in it, that too many of the projects entail embellishing ready made objects like T shirts and collars.

I see this book differently. Within are more than 30 craft projects, some embellishments, some made from the ground up. The person making these designs is assumed to have some sewing skills and perhaps knitting and crochet abilities also. The beginning pages go through the basics of materials, knitting, and crocheting. I like the photo illustrations and the many dogs posing for the camera.

Projects that caught my eye: A Booster seat for the car, a pillow bed, a saddle, a bandanna, a safety vest, a denim bone, a crate cover, a travel mat, a comfy coil bed that's knitted and stuffed with polyester fiberfill, and more..

Despite Mrs. Spudman's misgivings, I'm awarding this book four stars since I bought the book and I wrote the review.
Since this book is always sitting out, I don't think it'll be long before she makes a project from it.
