You Made My Day,
By Edna Kleinbaum (Atlanta, Georgia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: You Made My Day : Creating Coworker Recognition and Relationships (Paperback)
Reading this book will definitely make my days so much more satisfying -- both at work and play. The book gives very practical and valuable suggestions for enhancing relationships with co-workers. A major premise is that it is very important to give positive, meaningful recognition to co-workers. This will result in improved performance and a better work environment. Throughout the book are "Try It Out" exercises, giving the reader a chance to immediately put the suggestions to work. Many of the skills such as being a good listener and effectively giving compliments as well as critism are applicable to personal relationships outside the workplace. The pleasing graphics, the authors' down to earth writing style and their real-life examples illustrating how and how not to give recognition make the book very readable and enjoyable.
