Released in the 90s, this album I bought on vinyl,being a fan of late 70s rockers the Dictators.At the time could not really understand why they did not use the Dictators name, but that has now been rectified.The album is very good, catchy rock tunes, and the band are very underrated. I bought this CD in the 90's cause I listen to them in the 80's. It is a great and awsome group. Really great stage band. You will enjoy it.

The album is short, but it's a mad dash to the finish line. Handsome Dick barely takes a breath in these ten songs devoted to sex ("I Want You Tonight"), drugs ("Speedball") and rock'n'roll ("The Party Starts Now," "Haircut and Attitude"). Dictators Ross the Boss and Andy Shernoff are joined by Shrapnel guitarist Daniel Rey for this out-of-print 1990 joyride. Most heartfelt moment: Shernoff's original tune, "New York New York," one of the more hilarious tributes to the Big Apple ever recorded.

it's a bit cheesy and macho but fun,

This is coming from a Dictators fan. Manitoba's Wild Kingdom is a quasi Dictators reunion (Scott "Top Ten" Kempner" wasn't present). Essentially this is a party metal record. Some sounds thrashy, some punky and some mid tempo. It's only 26 minutes long and the lyrics are about partying, getting laid, the negative effects of drugs, just your standard rock themes. I don't take this album out much but it brings some amusement to me and my friends when drunk. That's about all I can say about it. Did I miss something?
