Book Description

Brian couldn’t resist playboy executive Leland Whitacre in spite of their employer’s strict no fraternization policy. Leland isn’t just his boss, though. He’s the son of the company’s CEO. And Brian has fallen in love. Hurt by too many stolen kisses and nooners at seedy hotels, Brian finally broke off their secret affair two weeks ago. Leland isn’t ready to let Brian go and he isn’t above seducing Brian -- again -- to give them both what they really want for Christmas: each other.

This free short story was originally written for the Goodreads M/M Romance Group's 2010 holiday event and appears in the event's Stuff My Stocking: M/M Romance Stories that are Nice . . . and Naughty anthology.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great, sexy in-between M/M read December 18, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This story solidified my like of Kari Gregg. She writes men the way I like them - alpha, possessive and maybe a little obsessive. This was a sexy filled short story where a hot boss and his employee finally get to unite without the hassle of fraternization policies in the way. Very...freeing. It's a satisfying little read.

5.0 out of 5 stars HOT!!! January 5, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Even though this was a very short story, it was well written. I felt the strong emotions between these two, as they burned up those bed sheets. This story wasn't just about sex though, it was more about love & trust issues between two lovers...who are trying to build a long lasting relationship with one another.

Would I recommend this book? Yes!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hot quickie! January 4, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
(★★★★½) If you're unfamiliar with Kari Gregg but like M/M romances, then this free download of YOU MELTED ME may be a great way to check out this author while getting a quick taste of some deliciously hot male lovin'. (See also the free download of "The Importance of Being Denny", another short story written for a GoodReads M/M Romance group's event.)

Several years ago, I read 3 of Kari Gregg's early works but got sidetrack by the usual. Her name came back on my radar recently so I decided to finally rescue YOU MELTED ME from calibre limbo.

DAY-UM! Two sentences into the story and I was immediately hooked.

Thrown right into bed with Leland and Brian, YOU MELTED ME is a fast shot of hot sex, with a chaser of romance. It's short--too short!--for any substantive character development or plot beyond the basics of who the two are and their immediate circumstances. But Kari Gregg manages to create enough emotional depth so that I could believe in a future for these two. HFN ending, so I wouldn't mind a more substantial story about Leland and Brian.

1.0 out of 5 stars This was awful January 9, 2014
By Andrew
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Okay, first of all... I thought based off of the description that it would be a good short story about the two characters with a little sex thrown in.

This was not the case. It was super contrived and awkward to read. It's like this woman has never interacted with a penis, much less SPOKEN to a gay man.

Middle-aged, white, soccer moms should NOT write gay fiction. Especially romantic/erotic gay fiction.

The sex scene (which was pretty much 1/2 of the whole thing) wasn't even good! It read very obviously that a straight woman who knows NOTHING about gay sex wrote it.

It's a good thing that it was free, because if I had paid for it, I would be pissed off. Perhaps Mrs. Gregg could try her hand at the kind of housewife erotica that so many of her contemporaries like. Because as far as this gay man is concerned, she has no idea what she's talking about.

5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting January 14, 2013

I liked the way Kari told the story. It was from one of the character's point of view and during sex. His worries and fears of just being played was well shown, and then through dialogue the showing that his fears were unfounded was well done.

3.0 out of 5 stars Typical but yet still Different January 5, 2013

A simple short and sweet little read. Could have been a little more in depth with the storyline but overall, a cute holiday story with hot descriptions.
