About the Author
Maria Nemeth, pH. is a clinical psychologist with more than twenty-eight years of experience in treating individuals and families in crises. She has trained people and teams in communication skills in the public, private, military and nonprofit sectors. She was an associate clinical professor at UC Davis School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry. Maria is the founder of You and Money, a personal and professional development seminar that shows people how to shift their relationship with money from scarcity to abundance. To date, more than 3000 people have taken this course. She also teaches seminars at Esalen Institute and Mount Madonna in California. Maria Nemeth Associates conducts the following courses around the country: You and Money, Your Life's Work, Being Coach, Gifted Communication, TeamWorks, Forgiveness and Leadership. Maria is a former columnist for the Sacramento Business Journal where her column, Mind Over Money, appeared for two years. You and Money by Maria Nemeth, a respected clinical psychologist, is a complement to her widely-acclaimed course "You and Money". I took the course and read the book. In both, Nemeth talks about a "hero's journey" as you explore your relationship with that form of "congealed energy" (Joseph Campbell) known as money. Nemeth clarifies that it's your "monkey mind" and "basic assumption" which get in the way of realizing your goals and dreams, and how to deal with them. Your whole attitude towards money is altered by the experience. And...at last, a way to recognize what is holding you back. Read it, take the course, you'll be a changed person!
