Its so great to hear Diane Witherspoon again. I heard her perform while visiting Japan. Cedar Walton and Billy Higgins are as always spectacular and the lyrics to Cedar's classics were meant to be

Cedar Walton, Dianne Witherspoon, & the Hacketts form a perfect trio--the incredible music, the wonderful voice, the beautiful words---combine to make a great CD.

Great lyrics to great songs, delivered with expertise!,

This CD is really unique because all the songs are composed by the great pianist, Cedar Walton. It is very rare to have a CD with original lyrics put to only one artist's songs and delivered with such great style and energy as we hear from Miss Witherspoon. Mr. Walton must be proud of the Hackett's, who wrote all the lyrics to his compositions. I applaude Walton, Witherspoon and the Hacketts for an excellent new jazz release!
