Book Description

December 14, 2004
Grace's Byron's plan is simple enough-travel from Savanna to Sweetwater, New Mexico Territory, as a mail-order bride and thus preserve the true identity of the man she is going to meet, a man she holds very dear. But she's reckoned to do so without the twists that Fate is planning. When her stage is held up, the rob-bers mistakenly think she's part of their booty, but soon find this Georgia beauty is really a spitting hellcat, one who knows how to use a gun. She wounds one man and kills another before she's hit on the head. When Cole Pierce mounts his horse and heads to town, his plan is simple enough-to meet the stage and bring Grace Byron back to marry his ailing friend, but without the danger of a stage holdup. After he helps rescue the passengers, he certainly never anticipates having two Graces to choose from: one unconscious, and another with amnesia. Cole decides the one who's still un-conscious, a matronly woman, must be his friend's mail-order bride, and the firebrand with a flame of red-gold hair has to be the new saloon girl. She simply can't be his friend's promised bride. Because from the moment Cole looks into her green eyes, he wants her more than he's ever wanted a woman. And he knows he's going to marry her, even if he has to use every trick he knows to convince her of why she should marry him.

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny and tender, January 14, 2005
This review is from: If You Only Knew (Hardcover)
Cole Pierce, with his long dark hair, and dark eyes, makes all the "girls" above the Globe Saloon sigh and dream about just what they'd do with the long lean cowpoke. But he only has eyes for the new girl. He doesn't care that she can't remember who she is , he just knows that she makes him feel like no other woman ever has.

"Grace" is certain nothing could ever be as perfect as the feeling she gets when in Cole's arms. But she's not about to give in to the cowboy until she remembers who she is --and what she's running from --or to.

But just when these two are finding each other, the man who's sworn to kill Grace finds her to. A he doesn't plan to make it an easy death...

This author has a fresh voice and a wonderful way with description that put me right into the scenes. Her characters are vivid and believable. I look forward to finding other books by her!

Laura, It is now 4:25 a.m. and I just finished reading your book. That is one hell of a way to end a book, but I love it.

I find Grace's feelings echo my feelings about someone.
It made me think of the way I feel about Ed.
I will fight any one for him.
I definitly look forward to more books from this author.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the cost, February 7, 2011

This review is from: If You Only Knew (Kindle Edition)
This book starts well enough but is just not great. The lead characters are not believable. He falls in love with her without a single conversation. The way they treat each other was very annoying. Every time he called her "woman" I wanted to throw my Kindle against the wall. I was very disappointed in this book - especially for $9.99!
