5.0 out of 5 stars Good for What it is
Thought this CD deserved a fair shot. This recording is meant to be used to accompany a singer, not as a regular audio CD for listening. It's just fine for it's purpose! If you want Josh Groban for listening, get another CD.

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of MONEY for this CD
This CD was a waste of money. There was actually only 1 song on this CD by Josh Grobin, the rest were wasted, all the same song but by orchestra in a higher octave! Worthless CD for what I paid for it...

I had to rate the CD and it would not allow me to not rate it so i HASD TO PUT A STAR TO SUBMIT IT, THAT IS THE ONLY REASON IT HAS 1 STAR!!!
Should...

Thanks for wasting my money on this CD.

1.0 out of 5 stars Josh Grobin's "You Raise Me Up" album, March 18, 2009

I am very disappointed with this cd. The only Josh Groban vocal - and the only real vocal on the entire cd was the first song. The rest of the cd is just different versions of the same song - without Groban's voice on any other song. I think the producer's representation of this cd was a cheap shot. I was looking for a Josh Groban cd with this song, so I ordered it, I was pretty sure I would be happy with just about anything Groban sang. They caught me once, but they won't again, but there's enough "bad" to go around. Groban knew that this was being marketed as a Groban cd. The producers knew people that liked Groban would buy the cd and my bad was not listening to a litle of each track.

5.0 out of 5 stars DUH! Accompaniment Track, January 13, 2011
This review is from: You Raise Me Up [Accompaniment/Performance Track] (Audio CD)
This is an ACCOMPANIMENT TRACK which means it is for ACCOMPANIMENT! I was amazed by the number of people that rated it one star because it only had one song! The concept here is actually very good: You can sing this solo as an ACCOMPANIED solo in a key (range of notes) that best fits your voice--with a vocal track, so you are NOT lip-syncing. This barrage of uninformed reviewers skews the result very unfairly. Warning to those with comprehension difficulties: READ what you are buying before you buy it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Repetition, March 1, 2009

I like Josh Groban but I regret buying this cd. It was basically just "How Many Ways Can You Play Lift Me Up"? It was boring after the 45th rendition!

This was the first time I have ordered music other than new. I was a little worried about getting it from a third party seller. I had no need to worry. The CD was in excellent shape and the lyrics were with it. I am very pleased and would definitely recommend this seller.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for what I needed, September 2, 2011

This is exactly as advertised, multiple tracks for different voices, with and without backing vocal tracks. I used for a recent concert and got rave reviews on the song. I sure ain't Josh Groban but I love the song, people in my audience loved it, so all in all, I am glad I found this and bought it. The song is part of my repertoire now.

This was not Josh Groban. It was showing how to sing it , I assume...I didn't even understand it. I felt I wasted my money. Bummer!

This is a total rip-off...Don't throw your money away...the same tune is repeated over and over ad nauseum.
