This is a wonderfully engaging book. I am a speech therapist who works with preschool aged children and have yet to meet a kid who didn't like this book. It is a great book for young children with speech and language delays. It provides practice for many early sounds in a functional and meaningful context. It is also repetitive which gives children with langauge disorders many opportunities to practice the sentence structure presented in the book. Many adjectives are presented. The animals are all familiar and the pictures are beautiful.

My son was introduced to this book in his Kindermusik class. You've never seen cute till you've seen nine little children around 3-years-old yell in unison what you would say for each animal. In fact they anticipate the next page because they are soooo excited. The illustrations are wonderful. If you're little loves animals they will certainly fall in love with some of these cute little ones.

My 2 year old son absolutey loves this book. I came across it at the library and immediately decided to check Amazon for availabilty. It must be included in every toddler's library. I am still trying to get him to say "Peewwee" for the pig because he keeps saying "oink oink" neverthless he loves this book.

This book is so cute. My daughter found it in the library several years ago as did my 2 yr old son (which will be under our tree). After reading it to him once, he remembered what you say for every animal. Even now, if you ask, "What do you say when you see a spider?" He will gleefully reply: "Eek!"

I have also used this book at work (I am a communication teacher for 1-2 year olds with a speech delay) and each child loved it just as much.

A must buy for your little guy or girl.

My 2 1/2 yr old daughter has the Autism Spectrum Disorder PDD-NOS. Her Speech Therapist used this book with her and she loves it. It is a wonderful way to help children practice speaking in the most natural way possible.

As a mom, I am always looking for ways to reinforce what the therapists do to help my daughter. This book allows me to do that.

This is such a cute book! My toddler loves it and can practically recite it, which is pretty hilarious. We love it.

I love this book. It is so fun to read with my boys. My two year old loves the "pooky pider" part. That's spooky spider for those of you who don't speak two year old. One of my favorite parts of this book is the illustrations. John Butler is extremely talented!

My one year old daughter adores this book. Although she can't say it, it's clear that this is her favorite book. She even says, "Aaaahhh" after I say it aloud. The illustrations are simple yet realistic, which is perfect for toddlers; pictures with too much information can be overwhelming for them. I haven't tested it on older kids, but my guess is that they'll like it, too. The illustrations are just too irresistible.

This book is read to the one and two year olds at the daycare center I work at. They LOVE it! It has been read so often most of them have the book memorized, but they keep asking us to read it to them. The pictures are really cute, too. It's a fun book to read together because the adults all think it's cute and the kids all get really into it.

My 2.6 yr old son loves this book. He first read it at daycare and his teachers recommended that we buy it for him b/c he would take a nap with it. So we did...and he showed us how it was suppossed to be read. Very cute.
