I love this song, it's a classic, and every time I hear it in a club I have to rush out to the dance floor. Sony has re-issued this single to cash in on Pete Burns' (lead singer of Dead or Alive) recent appearance on the UK tv show Celebrity Big Brother. In one of his tasks as a housemate, he was asked to perform this, his 1985 UK #1 single.

Included on this CD single is the original 1985 7" Version (which appeared on the 1985 LP "Youthquake") that was produced by the legendary P.W.L. team of Mike Stock, Matt Aitken and Pete Waterman. Stock, Aitken and Waterman would eventually write tracks for Kylie Minogue, Rick Astley, Donna Summer, Samantha Fox and Bananarama.

The 1985 "Performance Mix" is also included on this single, though it is labled the "Murder Mix" incorrectly. This is a 7:27 extended version of the original, and great for dancing to.

The 2003 Metro 7" Edit of You Spin Me Round is included as well as it's video in an enhanced component. I am obsessed with this version of the song, and the video is the reason I decided to purchase this single. The video is also the reason for my four star rating - I can't stop watching it.

I'm a little disappointed that no other remixes of the song were included on this single. The Metro Remix was released with remixes in 2003, along with the "Evolution" greatest hits album - which included the original version of "You Spin Me Round."

I recommend this single if you're a casual Dead or Alive fan, and want to include this song in your library. Die hard collectors will want to include this in their collection, which I'm sure like mine, is clutterd with the other Spin Me re-releases.
