I Loved This Album,

Stacy Lattisaw is one of my favorite singers. She's very talented and she's got a real soulful voice for someone who was just a teenager back when the album was released. This album is full of funk and soul songs. Here's my review on the album.
1.) Feel My Love Tonight: A funky song to start the album off right. I also like the little rap Stacy performs on the song. 2.) Screamin' Off The Top: This song sounds very disco-like and it sounds like it was made in the seventies or something. One of my favorite songs off this album. 3.) It Was So Easy: One of my favorite songs. It's so funky and Stacy sounds so soulful. 4.) Baby I Love You: I like this song. Stacy sounds absolutely wonderful. 5.) Love On a Two-Way Street: Stacy did an amazing job with her version of this song. She sounds so soulful and talented. 6.) With You: Awww!! This song is so sweet and innocent. 7.) Young Girl: Another funky song and fun to dance to. 8.) Spotlight: This is my favorite song off this album. It's so funky and I luv Stacy's voice. 9.) You Take Me To Heaven: A sweet, slow ballad to end the album off right. I give this album five stars, but if I could, I'd give it a million!!

Thank you!! I've searched for years for this particular album, as well as Sixteen, Sneakin' Out & Let Me Be Your Angel. Absolutely classic and a must have for your music library. I loved these albums back then and am so happy that they're now available on cd. What a terrific voice. I heard she is now a veteranarian & married with children. Great stuff and I still love her and relate to her music.

With You & So Easy are the highlights for me in this album but no track is bad. Overall a very good effort. My sister bought this on tape when I was 15 and I've liked it ever since. In fact I recently bought the CD. A good nostalgic album reminiscent of a time of love & innocence.

Stacy Lattisaw is definetly one of the greatest singers ever! Though her vocal talents were well overlooked, she still managed to keep a strong fan base in the 80's! Unlike Brandy, or Britney Spears, there is strength in her voice, and a special talent that will never be duplicated! And YES I still am a FAN of hers, and I will be forever more!

Stacy Lattisaw can definitely sing I guess she inherited it from her mom. Her mother was a back up singer for Marvin Gaye and I guess that is how Stacy obtained her angellic voice I would recommend any cd that Stacy has because she sings so well she has a nice strong voice and she had it at a very young age so therefore I would truly reccommend all of Stacy Lattisaw's cds because I love all of her music and she sings very well!!!!

I 've been looking for this cd for about 11 years. i know it had disappeared. the company did'nt put the album on Cd yet so it was really disappointing for me. I remember When this album came out. they called them records then. And 1981 was the year it brings back oldies memories. i was still ing grammer school.
Stacy Lattisaw Did an amazing job with the song "With you" , such an amazing voice you wont believe it , Love on a Two Way Street is a classic, most popular song too. she did a wonderful job with this one. all the rest are great too, Spotlight is catchy , Young girl is a fun and catchy oldies song> you take me to heaven is wonderfully done. Screamin off the top, very good, catchy song too. this is a great cd though and if you liked early oldies 80s music , old R & B from ths 70s, get this cd its great and wonderfully done. and again Welcome back Stacy Lattisaw, i know she still has fans out there somewhere. get the album Sneaking out too. and sixteen , theyre good too.

Back in the days of vinyl, I did not care for "Love on a Two Way Street," though I remember hearing it played on the radio many times. At the beginning of my freshman year in high school, "Feel My Love Tonight" caught my attention, but not enough to buy the album from which it originated.Years gone by and CD reissues of classic albums sprouted at Tower Records. I always had a soft spot for Stacy Lattisaw (her post-1982 material), with the exception of "Dynamite!" - which dominated R & B radio in 1980. Tower Records was having their annual clearance sale in which most CD's that retailed between $12.99 to $17.99 were on sale for $11.99. During the January 1991 sale, I went on a Stacy Lattisaw shopping spree. "With You" was one of the titles I picked up. I became a late acquaintance of this classic album (10 years after its release). Out of all nine tracks, I like five of them. I respect the nostalgia that "Love on a Two Way Street" brings, knowing that it was one of her big remake hits. I like the funky and rap-trendy "Feel My Love Tonight." Narada Michael Walden's signature groove is evident on "Screamin' Off the Top" as well as on the upbeat track, "Spotlight." Lattisaw, having been a teenager at the time, gave the lyrics to the song "Young Girl" credibility. I bought the first CD pressing of "With You" - identified as an AAD compact disc whereby the CD was mastered directly off the reel-to-reel tapes from the studio. In 2006, I was aware that "With You" was up for remastering, but it was not a priority since I already own the AAD compact disc. A few years later while browsing through Amazon Marketplace, I noticed that the remastered CD of "With You" was available for a reasonable price. Though the album was only half good, it was my appreciation for Stacy Lattisaw which prompted me to make a repurchase of the CD. If you don't own it, I recommend you check it out!

This 1981 album "With You" under Cotillion Records was produced by Narada Michael Walden, and charted #55 on the U.S. Pop and #11 on the R&B.
The album opens up with "Feel My Love Tonight," which is a cute dance number that displays Stacy's ability to rap. I have never been a fan of rap but she does it in such a cute way, you can't help but love her style and syncopation, besides it charted #71 on the U.S. R&B and #36 on Dance chart. "Screaming Off The Top" is definitely one of my favorites, with music by Narada Michael Walden and Randy Jackson, it is the type of song that makes you want to get up and dance. "It Was So Easy" has a laid back groove, the sort of song you would play at the beginning of a party back in the day, however it is Stacy's voice that makes this song memorable. "Baby I Love You" is another favorite of mine that has Stacy's trademark voice and lyrics about being in love. "Love On A Two Way Street" was major and charted #26 on U.S. Pop and #2 on U.S. R&B. This was a heavy song handled well by such a young talent at the time. "With You" is a favorite of mine because it really showcases Stacy's vocal ability and range, and of course the melody is great. "Young Girl" is a nice catchy tune with a beat that also makes you feel like dancing. "Spotlight" charted #36 on the Dance chart and when you listen to the cool beat you'll know why. The album closes with another ballard I also like called "You Take Me To Heaven," which is classic Stacy, highlighting her pure voice and wide range. I think Stacy Lattisaw should have had a longer career. I don't know what went down with Motown, but they really lost out by not promoting her the way they should have; she sang her heart out on "Personal Attention." All of Stacy's songs are pleasant to listen to and her voice was so strong, clear and full of passion. I think after you listen to "With You," you will be agree "with me" on what a talent this young lady really is.

Stacy Lattisaw was the first true teen pop idol, and not only was she adorable and talented, but she could sing like there was no tomorrow! I can't wait to hear what she has in store for us, over the next few years, because I have heard from a very good source that she is going to start working on her gospel CD real soon...
Blessings & best wishes Stacy, I can't wait to hear the new CD!
