Book Description

Traditions of man nullify the Word of God. This book is all about breaking those traditions and is not a general feel-good-about-myself-I'm-a-good-Christian either. You will find that this is a straight forward and sometimes challenging book. This book was not written to show you everything you might be doing wrong, but instead to show you the treasures in you that are illegitimately hidden and often unknowingly kept from the world. I you as a believers lies the greatest grace-empowered treasure, to heal the sick, the set the captives free, to proclaim freedom and goodwill to all mankind. For God so LOVES the world that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, The Christ, to live in and through every believer by His Spirit, so that through Him and by His sacrifice, the lost can be brought back, the sick can be healed and the oppressed can be set free. - Cornel Marais

“Your life is transformed to the degree that your mind is renewed. Cornel’s book goes a long way toward removing the hindrances to that renewal.” Curry R. Blake, General Overseer of John G. Lake Ministries

5.0 out of 5 stars Breaking Mindsets, Setting People Free August 14, 2010
Format:Kindle Edition
What you think has a great bearing on who you are and what you do. God has given us minds to think, but we are not led by our thinking. We are called to live by the Spirit. Our spirits are made new the moment we are born again but from then on our minds have to play catch-up. They have to be renewed. We need to take on new attitudes, new ways of thinking. We need to cultivate the habit of saying yes and amen to the promises of God. So You Think Your Mind is Renewed? tackles head-on those mindsets that nullify the word of God and keep us from being effective and fruitful.

This book provides a good introduction to the gospel of grace then gets down to the serious business of training believers how to do the works and greater works of Jesus. There is a strong emphasis on healing. If you are sick, or know sick people, or ever pray for sick people, you definitely need to read this book!

This is a very practical book written by a very practical author. Cornel Marais is not an academic or a pastor. Rather, he is a part of that take-it-to-the-streets generation who do first and write second. If youÂ're tired of hearing reasons why people arenÂ't getting healed, if you would rather just learn how to set people free from someone whoÂ's been doing it with proven results, then read this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME- READY TO READ AGAIN June 21, 2011
By KarisJ
Format:Kindle Edition
Cornel writes in an easy to understand way- almost as if he is conversing with you one on one. This made it very doable for me to engage in what he was saying and I am truly excited to read it again =)

In the preface he states "The way you think is probably the single most important change you will need to make, next to believing in Christ, in order to fully walk in the grace that abounds to each of us." This says it all- this is why this book should be read by every Christ follower. Romans 12:2 is how we are to know our identity in Christ, to know the love of God that is shed abroad in our hearts and how to be in the world but not of the world.

He expounds on the scripture- 1 Cor 2:4-5-And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.- He writes, "Paul makes it very clear that in order to fully, or completely preach the gospel there has to be evidence in the form of signs and wonders by the power of the Holy Spirit." He uses scripture after scripture to show this truth- let's just say I am excited to better understand and know this truth and see it manifest in my life and the lives of those around me!!!

One of my favorite scriptures that he dissects is 1 John 4:17- as he (Jesus) is, so are we in this world. This is our identity!!!! Cornel writes " He(Jesus) is perfectly righteous, perfectly holy, perfectly sanctified. We are thus also perfectly righteous, perfectly holy and perfectly sanctified in Him through the free gift of His righteousness that came by grace alone through faith." WOW!!!!! This is who we are as Christ followers - we have what he has-we lack NOTHING!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars It Hurts So Good. May 23, 2011
By Lucas
Format:Kindle Edition
This book is painful, but in such a good way. As Einstein said, "Common sense is the combination of all the prejudices that you've developed by age 18." (rough quote) All of us have developed opinions about truth, God, and even ourselves that may or may not be true. Any time we begin to explore the truth of the thoughts that we hold in our heart, it can be painful, but the end result is so good. If you're open to exploring God's word and honestly examining the beliefs that you've been holding on to, then this book is for you. Cornel is a great guy, and an amazing minister....you'll be blessed to get your hands on this resource.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book that puts the focus on Christ in us. November 22, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I ordered this book shortly after I had been introduced to the New Covenant and the Ministry of Divine Healing. It was an excellent read that tackled many of the Traditions that we've been taught that only serve to hold us back from our true walk in Christ.

This book helped me before confident to step out and really be Light and Salt in this world, rather than waiting for something to happen. Rather it awakens the reader to the reality of the New covenant, and helps us to rely on Christ in us, to change the world.

I highly recommend this book for those who seek to move in Divine Healing and Evangelism.

5.0 out of 5 stars Changing minds, changing people! May 17, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
This book will change your life. Cornel is and has lived what is in these pages. He is diligent and committed to changing the status quo and that means a 'mind overhaul'. People may think of renewing your mind as an intellectual, positive brain approach to the Bible but Cornel gets the centre of the issue. If we are going to live out our spiritual inheritances on this earth, we need to allow the truth and life God's word to direct our lives. He has a radical approach to killing sacred cows (the traditions of men) and you'll need to reject or accept man's word or God's word as you read. There is no middle road ...
