THIS ALBUM IS A CLASSIC. IT'S CHARLIE WILSON AT HIS ABSOLUTE BEST. I'VE OWNED THIS CD SINCE IT CAME OUT IN '92 AND IT'S STILL IN HEAVY ROTATION TO THIS DAY. EVERY CUT IS HOT. THE SLOW SONGS ARE ON FIRE. TRACK 11-PLEASE BELIEVE ME (WHICH IS A BONUS CD TRACK) COULD BE A HIT RIGHT NOW IF IT WERE RELEASED TODAY. I CONTINUE TO BE AMAZED AT HOW ARTISTS LIKE CHARLIE WILSON CAN ALWAYS BE NAMED AS A MAJOR INFLUENCE TO EVERY POPULAR R+B SINGER OUT THERE TODAY, YET HIS WORK GOES OVERLOOKED BY THE MAINSTREAM. IT SHOWS WHAT A SAD STATE THE MUSIC INDUSTRY IS IN. THIS ALBUM COULD SERVE AS A BLUE PRINT AS TO HOW TO MAKE A REAL SOUL ALBUM. IF YOU CAN FIND IT, SCOOP IT UP.
