About the Author
Stephen C. Ashmore has been in the computer industry since 1981 and a professional Oracle DBA since 1992. A graduate of the American College of Computer and Information Sciences, he is currently a consultant employed by Analysts International. He has taught and consulted at several large companies in both Canada and the US.

This is a great book to keep handy on your desk. I find myself going back to it again and again to verify what I am doing. Edition one was good edition 2 even better. Well worth the money!

I have found this book to save me time and money. I find that I am not wasting my time nor my company's money on the internet searching news groups and poor forums. This book provides a quick point of reference for alot of things important to DBAs of today and tommorrow!

I owe a lot of my success as an Oracle data base administrator to Steven Ashmore's book. It was highly informative and taught me everything I needed to know to become the most effective administrator I could be. I highly recommend this book to anyone with any interest in becoming an Oracle DBA. It is sure to be useful tool that will help you make the most of your natural abilities.
