We have been studying China at home w/my 9 year old and 6 year old boys for months now. This was by far one of our favorite books we read on the Forbidden City. We are heading to Beijing for a family trip and this book help us to understand the Forbidden City even more.

It is always great to see students enthralled in a book. The students learn so much information from this book that they carry over into other areas. The book is well layed out and does a wonderful job describing what it would be like under the rule of the First Emperor of China. The pictures are well done and instantly hook the students into reading more.
