A excellent history lesson on Land Rover and the Discovery
I bought this book because I wanted to learn more about my Land Rover Discovery. The book covers the Discovery from Concept to the Series 2 model. It is mainly targeted to the British market since it references the auto purchasing process in England as well as LPG conversions. Good but ..
..the Modifications section is a bit weak, consequently a little disappointing for the off road enthusiast. Not surprisingly, geared primarily towards the U.K. owner of Series 1 vehicles. Good overview of the vehicle and what to expect.

I bought this book because I wanted to learn more about my Land Rover Discovery. The book covers the Discovery from Concept to the Series 2 model. It is mainly targeted to the British market since it references the auto purchasing process in England as well as LPG conversions. I would say this book is more of a history lesson than a maintenance guide. It does however list known issues and common problems with the Discovery. If you are in the market for an older Discovery this book would be helpful for the inspection of a used Disco prior to purchase. The book is full color and hard backed, a very nice looking book for the coffee table. Plus now I have many more useless facts about my Discovery to bore my wife with!
