Mary Foster Conklin is the kind of singer you can listen to over and over again. She has a real knack for selecting songs that are smart, hip and ideally suited to her artistry. She can get to the emotional heart of a song without histrionics, cast a wry and knowing glance at the foibles of love and life, or swing like nobody's business.

We have seen Mary perform is various clubs in New York alone and pared with another artist. Her music touches you to the bone, whether a classic upbeat cabaret feature, or soul tearing blues. We have purchased her CD's at the club, but even if you can't get to New York to see her on stage, you should do yourself a favor get this and her other CD's and hear her sing.

You will remember THAT voice!

Mary Foster Conklin has a voice to knock your socks off, but she's at her best when she uses her first-rate smarts to hold back and smolder. Her take on "My Heart Belongs to Daddy" is priceless. A great disc; a fantastic singer.
