Editorial Reviews

From Publishers Weekly

Following his bestselling Your Erroneous Zones , et seq., this encouraging, helpful volume augurs an increase in Dyer's audience. Citing the wisdom of ancient and modern philosophers, the author adds incidents from his experiences to illustrate the benefits of spiritual guidance and possibilities of transformation. Serendipity, or what Dyer believes are miracles, have given him riches that he declares are available to all. He counsels that one must first see the human as a soul with a body--not the reverse--to realize supposedly impossible dreams. Dyer describes the blessings he and others have gained from getting rid of anger, fears and the desire for revenge: impedimenta to the good life. The advice, while generalized, is not simplistic and will, on the evidence he adduces, likely convert many doubters to Dyer's faith in a universe ruled by a divine provi dence. From Library Journal

Transformation of the mind into a new concept of self is the theme of Dyer's latest book. Combining New Age ideas with psychological insights, Dyer, author of many popular psychology titles including Your Erroneous Zones, uses anecdotes and quotes to support his idea that creative visualization, the oneness of the universe, positive thinking, and synchronicity are vehicles to a leap of consciousness. Although many of these subjects have been explored by other authors, Dyer clearly explains his theory that people are thoughts and that thought is the ultimate reality of life. Followers of Dyer and libraries with popular psychology readers will want to add this.

5.0 out of 5 stars A powerful and gentle book to transform your life, March 14, 2000
By
Tim Burness (Brighton, England) - See all my reviews
This book was recommended to me in 1990 and has played an important part in my life ever since. On reading "You'll See It When You Believe It", it very quickly becomes clear that Wayne Dyer is actually living the ideas he is writing about. There are numerous suggestions as to how to transform your life for the better, ranging from going beyond your "comfort zone" on a regular basis, to meditation and other self-awareness strategies. He also recommends being easy on yourself when you slip back into bad habits! There is a gentle compassion throughout Wayne Dyer's writing.

The chapter on "Oneness" uses quotes from Albert Einstein and Paramahansa Yogananda to help show the fundamental inter-connectedness of all things. This theme is continued later in the book when Dyer explores synchronicity. Beginning with obvious connections that are easy to believe in, such as a car moving when petrol has been put in it, Dyer ends up in the bizarre and mystical world of subatomic physics. Here, particles make decisions in relation to other particles that may be in a different galaxy but are still somehow intimately connected. Applying this model to human life on earth, we may be a lot more responsible for our collective reality than we had hitherto assumed.

Wayne Dyer asks us to wake up, forgive ourselves and each other, and transform our lives through using our thoughts constructively. Excellent stuff!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very informitive and well done, November 23, 2003
I must admit that I am a Dyer fan and have studied a fair amount of his work. This CD is as good as I have come to expect from Wayne Dyer. He relates the information in a way that makes it easy to understand and to relate too. The information is inspiring and thought provoking. If you are looking for tranformational information to reach higher levels of enlightenment, but are tired of speakers that use a great deal of lofty terms, this is the CD for you. Simple, straight talk that makes understanding easy and inspiring. If you are wanting something to effect change in you're life, here it is. You may also find Caroline Myss of benifit.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is a treasure., July 23, 1999
By A Customer
I first read this book in 1994. Since then I have read over and over many times. The best thing is the how the author explains the common features of all faiths. The style of writing is so authentic that I felt Dr Dyer was standing and talking to me. This is not for one time reading. One should read many times, and you will be amazed how the book helps you as you progress in life with different situations, problems and people at different times. The book per se is a guide. It is upto the reader to practise it in real life and experience the changes.
