The revolutionary ideas in Young Again will change your life,
By A Customer
This review is from: Young Again! How to Reverse The Aging Process (Paperback)
Get ready for a paradigm shift. At times, you might not want to believe everything he is saying about alternative health methods, but the reader will be driven to finish the book. I recommend this book to anyone who is serious about changing their lifestyle. Have an open mind. It is revolutionary! His ideas will shock you and contradict some current health ideas. A reason for four stars and not five: The reader will get really excited about the products that he recommends in the book, and as it turns out, they are very expensive. I was disappointed because he didn't offer any information on alternative substitutes for those people who can't afford his products. He exclusivly promotes his own products through out the book. Because of this, I am a bit skeptical of his motive for publishing the book. Is it information for the reader? Or to sell his products? I think a little less "advertisement" and more information with proof to his claims would make a better book. It is still worth reading though! If you put all or some of his ideas to practice, I am sure we will feel Young again. He is on to something here...

Get to the point!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Young Again! How to Reverse The Aging Process (Paperback)
Although it is full of a lot of information that if you read enough Alt Health books you come to some of the same conclusions, but he tries to make everything mysterious and complicated so that you'll buy his products. If he spent more time getting to the basics, than selling his products and reiterating the same paragraphs over and over to fill the 350+ pages it might have been a better read. The only downfall is the source page give you a phone number to some place in WA that you never get to talk to a live person. (Were the expensive Bev reverse osmosis water systems are made, guess who own this one...) We are supposed to believe that all water is bad for you other than his water, because God told a few of his idols(wizards)that these various things are the keys to longevity. Yeah, theirs a stretch! I suppose I'll send my check to your P.O. Box and hope they send something back. Why be so secret to your location or in validating your products? Do you have money back guarantees or do you just prey on the desperate? In addition, you won't find much on the internet either regarding anything pertaining him or his products. All you see for an example of someone that used his products, is a small picture of a man that looks to be in his mid to late 40's from the Mediterranean Area. Which most men from that area carry their age very well, if healthy. I'm sure that some of what he is preaching are truths, but you won't find any references in the back of the book or scientific research papers suggestion any of the literature is valid or remotely truthful. It might be a little more credible if he held a credential in something other than an interest in various esoteric beliefs. Why can't anyone put most/all of the truths about alt. medicine together in one book and help everyone in achieving superior health without selling them products/something? Another great example of good old fashion capitalism!

A lot of truths, but never the whole truth. He's selling!,
By
This review is from: Young Again! How to Reverse The Aging Process (Paperback)
This is a great book to start with, but don't get caught up in the wizardry of the whole thing! Foodwise he's on the money, but when it comes to detoxifying yourself, you can do it at home just as effectively with other liver purges. All the other products are no different than what you buy in the stores. As far as his products superiority, possibly? But the only thing he could possibly be using is a machine called the bio-photon analyzer. It's based on radionics. A science that has been around for 50 years and is used by NASA. I have not used this machine, but all he needs is a photo of you against and white background with a particular Polaroid film. Then if you send it to him he can customized your supplement to you personally. We all vibrate and different frequencies and this particular film can pick this up. The machine basically puts the supplement in phase with your body. So your body utilizes the supplement more effectively & easily. The only miracle supplement is MSM and you can get the same results he claims by taking it on your own in large doses daily. Other than that, look into the raw food movement if you are looking for longevity and anti-aging.

THE TRUTH ABOUT JOHN THOMAS' PRODUCTS,
This review is from: Young Again! How to Reverse the Aging Process (Paperback)
If you read his book, two things are very apparent:
1. A lot of his health advice is excellent and true (and unconventional). 2. His book is full to the brim with constant advertisements for his products and his products only. If you look at his source packet (product catalog) you will find the products in it are unusually expensive. I wish to talk about #2. He gives you the impression that only his vitamins will work because they are "racemized". He assures you that only his water purification machine will be ideal for your health because of "energy footprints" and "bond angle restructuring" that his machine does, etc. (which are bogus and unscientific terms). Don't get fooled. He's a good man who has helped a lot of people but his products aren't anything specially exclusive to him. His vitamins are simply made by a company who privately relabels vitamins for whoever wants to resell them under their own personal label. You can get equally good vitamins elsewhere for much cheaper. His water machine is made by Universal Water which relabels it with his private BFRV label. It is simply reverse osmosis, carbon, and deionization. You can get a better machine which is equally BEV water standard (Bio-Electric Vincent) for much cheaper at [...]. Click on the FAQ link at the top of the page and read "How do your systems compare to BFRV(?) systems sold by John Thomas?" for more information. In fact, the above site used to sell the SAME systems John Thomas is selling for much more but due to it having problems, they have created their own version which is better quality. Why has his products helped others so much in the past? Because they are truly good products! But the key is that you can get them elsewhere for much cheaper. The second thing I want to say is that he tells many true things in his book. However, he also embellishes them with his own theories. His own theories are unprovable, and in some cases, unscientific. He cannot prove them. They are made up in some cases. For example, he claims his water machine changes the "hydrogen and molecular bond angles". There is quite a substantial amount of scientific evidence which shows that you cannot alter the hydrogen and molecular bond angles except when H20 is bonded to a protein or you can change the bond angle for one billionth of 1 milisecond when the water is subjected to a strong magnetic force. For John Thomas to claim that he can alter the bond angles in a water system and can keep it that way for any length of time is non-scientific and quite simply not possible. So don't believe everything he says. For another author who tells a lot of the same things as John Thomas and is not in it for the money, I suggest Dr. Lorraine Day (www.drday.com). In fact, the best vitamin supplement you can get to be honest is to use a juicing machine to make juice out of fresh fruits and vegetables directly. Not only is it perfectly absorbable by the body but it contains all of the things inside of vegetables and fruits that our bodies need which we may not have discovered yet (unlike vitamin supplements). The things John Thomas mentions about fourth dimensions are his personal theories (he happens to be an eastern religion). If you are a Christian, I warn you that it is incompatible with Christianity as he claims Christ was merely a fourth-dimensional being and others can become fourth-dimensional beings too (whereas Christians know that Jesus is God and Man - He is "God Made Man") so be cautious. I hope this helped. Feel free to read his book as there are a lot of true and good things in it, but be cautious with his products and claims and also do your research on the water system and vitamins.

Packed with alternative health information, provocative,
By A Customer
This review is from: Young Again! How to Reverse The Aging Process (Paperback)
Read with an open mind, there is much to be gleened from the pages of this book. Conventional medicine can often be a one-way, and quick, trip to the grave. I've seen it happen first hand. The author offers an alternative that made me think that there are other paths to recovery, and long-lasting health. Some of his ideas are really way out there, and he is not shy about expounding on his own expensive products throughout the book. But he debunks, though with often superficial and very radical theories, the conventional medical, pharmaceutical, and food products industries that we so blindly accept as true, and good for us. For instance, he discards soy and canola oils as being the equivalent of poisons in our diet, and that we should avoid them at all costs. Yet he doesn't differentiate between modern mass-marketed refined soy oil and other soy products such as tofu, which the Japanese have used for centuries as an important part of their very healthful (traditional)diet.Anyone wishing to broaden their knowledge base in the areas of food, health, and medicine should read this book.

Young Again!/ John Thomas is telling the truth,
By Fu Jing Zhou (Singapore) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Young Again! How to Reverse The Aging Process (Paperback)
Dear everyone who reads this review, i read the book, i ordered a source packet, and subsequently the products in the source packet (2 liver purge packages, colon hydrotherapy, soc capsules, lotion and racemized skin creme. i passed out hundreds of green liver stones, used the creme and lotion, ate the soc, and i am now looking better than i ever did in years! john thomas is telling the truth! the colon hydrotherapy is simple and extremely effective, though i do not have a lot of mucoid lining in my colon, i can feel my mood change when i do the therapy. even though his things are very expensive, they are affordable and effective. the thing about canola oil and soy bean oil is also true, i am using canola oil as an insect repellant in my house, i painted canola oil on the legs of my computer table that i use for making kombucha tea (which i did not order from young again but got it for free from someone else) and it works, whereas the olive oil and sunflower oil in my kitchen attracts kamikaze ants that often drown in them. you have to try it for yourself to know. what he say makes sense and any sensible person will know it.

Aim High!,
This review is from: Young Again! How to Reverse the Aging Process (Paperback)
The " object" of this book is to provide the reader with ANSWERS to health concerns and improve the quality of the reader's life. Hopefully, these are the reasons you are reading Young Again.
Your author's approach to health and longetivity is total and BASIC! He does NOT believe in band aids or magic bullets. He wants readers to understand how loss of control of the body's terrain occurs and exactly whaat must be done to experience aging reversal. It is not the author's intent to be absolute or overzealous. Few people will be able to comply 100% with all the suggestions contained in these pages. The reader is encouraged to advance in personal knowledge at his/her own pace. Do not feel doomed because you are unable to follow all the suggestions at once. Please realize, the material presented represents the BEST you can shoot for - the goal - the ideal! The ideal world of health is a lifestyle that includes wholesome food, pure water, moderate exercise, adequate rest, low stress, a clean body and a strong mind. These things are worth striving for even though the perfect lifestyle is very difficult to "live" in a world where disease and human suffering are the norm. Hopefully this book will help the reader find a middle ground where enjoyment of good health can be realized and perpetually maintained, consistent with one's circumstances. We live in an imperfect world, and we fall short of the ideal. Sometimes we are subject to events and circumstances beyond our control. Yet, each day, we DO have the opportunity to make "choices" that effect our lives an health - and the lives of those arounsd us - for good and bad. We must strive to make the BEST choices we can each and every day of our lives. The reader is reminded that health and disease are cumulated states of being, and the alternative to good health is a sorry existence indeed. Poor health cheats us of happiness and of "life." Aim high - and do the very best you can. Good health is worth whatever it takes to get it and keep it! -from book's introduction

A must read for all,
By Kathryn Brunken (Kermit, Texas USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Young Again! How to Reverse The Aging Process (Paperback)
Mr John Thomas writes so that he holds your interest in the different subjects he is explaining. Each chapter is so interesting that you look forward to the next. The titles of some of the chapters are such that you expect one thing and you get something different, and you are totally surprised. I found it to be most informative on things I never would have thought possible. The chapter on the tobacco was a shocker to me. I just did not think tobacco could be good for anything. And the bit about the man regrowing his foot blowed my mind. Who would have ever thought of such a situation being possible. You need to read the book for more. |
