New fan,

This review is from: Young Buckethead, Vol. 1 (DVD)
My grandson (13) introduced me to BucketHead so I am new to him and his music. I bought these dvds for him for Christmas and watched them to make sure they were ok for him to watch. There was some awesome guitar playing and quite a bit of "kinky" stuff but nothing a mature teen coudn't handle. I was impressed by him but could well do without the Deli Creeps, however, they definitely took a backseat to the Bucket. Would rather have gotten a dvd of just him.

Young Buckethead Vol. 1,

Enjoying Buckethead like I do I truly dig this DVD. The main reason I gave 4 stars is because of the video/audio quality. This is mainly because it was an 8mm transfer to DVD. Other than that it is a thoroughly enjoyable video to watch and learn from.

Must Have for Buckthead Lovers,

Both volumes of Young Buckethead are awesome. I bought both right away and watched them back to back. It's all home-made video from the early 90's. Buckethead's live performances with the Deli Creeps were really interesting and different from his solo performances now. In volume one, you get to see Buckethead in a creepy clear mask which was pretty cool. It's the closest thing to seeing his real face. Must see for any Buckethead lover.

First, this is a camcorder video... And it doesn't appear to be a good quality camera nor a steady hand.
It's apparent this stange guy has studied lots of Mel Bay song books and purchased may different instructional videos and studied them feverously but, it's like this guy needs several classes in music theory to put it all together. A versed guitarist will see MANY different styles in his playing. He's a very fast player but doesn't seem to have the ability to put any of it together to make it fit or make sense of what he's playing. Buckethead appears to be the guy at the party who picks up a guitar and starts rippin' some blistering solos, gets a small crowd thay say "ooo and ahhh" and then those spectators say "play _________" and he's putting the guitar back down. I don't regret buying this video because it was interesting to watch once or twice just to see his skills but I do regret paying over $5.00 for it!

Don't Waste Your Money,

Don't waste your money on this crap. I was totally disapointed in this dvd. This guy has a lot of talent but he doesn't have a clue on how to showcase it and the producer wasn't any help either. If he could just get to the point and stick with it he would be better off, it's no wonder not many people have heard of this guy. Every video clip (including this dvd)that I've seen of this guy when he wasn't playing the guitar was completely stupid and unbearable. Shut up, play the guitar and stick with one gimmick, the mask and the bucket.
